Last weekend, I competed at the Gower Show and was awarded 2nd place for my exhibit in the ‘Picnic in the Hayfield’ class. 🧺💐

My design consisted of a big, bountiful picnic basket arrangement overflowing with seasonal blooms, placed on top of a hay bale. Complimented by two meadow arrangements at the front and back. 🌾

My exhibit comprised a vibrant mix of Garden Roses, Sunflowers, Delphiniums, Dahlias, Rudbeckia, Clematis, fragrant Sweet Peas and Berries. 🌿

It was an absolute pleasure to design this exhibit and support the Gower Show, such a special event that started my floral journey 2 years ago when I competed for the first time. ❤️

A closer look at my recent design for the Three Counties and South Wales Chelsea Elimination Competition in Ross-On-Wye.💜💐

On Saturday, I competed at the Three Counties and South Wales Chelsea Elimination Competition in Ross-On-Wye and I am delighted to say that I was awarded 2nd prize and reserve for the RHS Malvern Autumn Show! 🙌🏻🌺

The theme was ‘Seasonal Artistry’ and the design I created consisted of two willow structures; a crescent shape nestled in an urn and an elongated crescent at the base. 🌸

In a colour palette inspired by the Netflix series Bridgerton; shades of pink, purple, peach and lilac; my floral selection comprised a large variety of summery, seasonal flowers (British grown where possible) including David Austin ‘Constance’ Garden Roses, ‘Coral Sunset’ Peonies, Alliums, Foxgloves, ‘Sebastian’ Dahlias, Lilac Sweet Peas, ‘Amazing Kyiv’ Clematis, Nigella, fragrant Jasmine with a variety of fresh foliage; Birch branches, Ivy, Trailing Ivy, Pittosporum, Clematis, and Myrtle. Both blackberries and strawberries were also added to enhance the seasonality of the display. 🌷

Thank you to everyone who supported me along the way and to my wonderful suppliers, Somerset Willow England and Flowervision - Bristol Ltd. 🌿

If you would like to see the design in person, it is currently at the Diocesan Shrine Of Divine Mercy, Catholic Church of the Sacred Heart in Morriston for the next few days. ❤️
