⚠️ ADVICE REQUIRED
DJs Artists Promoters Producers I'm after some advice.
So I've been offered a slot on a show. However there's a few things that are puzzling me.
The requirements of me performing on said show are as follows:
*I MUST PLAY A PRE RECORDED SET
*THE SET I PLAY MUST BE APPROVED BY SAID LABEL
Now fair doos.. People do things their way. However I have NEVER blagged a gig or Live audience. EVERY SET I mix is mixed live and is never pre planned.
I may have a few certain tracks I wanna chuck in or things I wanna try during a mix but on the whole I go with the flow and read the crowd.
While I'm interested and grateful for the offer I'm not entirely happy about this pre mixed pre approved demand.
My question to you guys who know about this sort of thing is is this a normal thing?
Surely if they rate me enough to book me then they should sit back and be confident on the night I'll bring the noise and let me do ma thing ?
Any feedback or advice is appreciated
