Hey team 👋

The past few months have been a whirlwind of activity, hustle and bustle!

I've taken part in a fair few styled shoots with gorgeous people and wedding suppliers, have been involved in some lovely weddings including that of a close friend last week. I've got so many lovely photos to share, and I can't wait to get these scheduled on my feed.

I've also been working on a lot outside of work. As well as getting time in with friends and taking time to get outside in the sunshine, not many will know I run this business outside of a full time job. Recently, I've taken on a new role in a new company in a new city. I'm very excited for the opportunity which may take priority for the next couple of months. This may mean some changes to my website are looming as I look to reduce my outgoings but it'll also impact any new bookings.

Availability for weddings and event signage in the remainder of 2022 is extremely limited and that my lead times are slightly longer as I'm expecting to travel a lot. Booking for 2023 will remain closed until late November 2022 but please do contact me with any questions you might have.

I hope you all understand and will support me on my new ventures but I'm hoping to still be available to create many beautiful things for you all, so keep in touch! 💖🥰

The words you use to welcome your guests into your ceremony, reception or evening celebrations are more important than you might think. It provides the opportunity to bring out your personality and sets the tone for your special day. I saw this wording and couldn’t wait to showcase it. What would your welcome sign say?

I’m not one for a traditional flat lay but one thing I’ve learned is that if you’d like your photographer to document the finer details of your day, a flat lay is the way to go! Think about including your wedding day perfume, a copy of your invitations, the all important rings - anything you’d like to remember as a factor of your special day! Make a statement with floor length mirrors. You may have seen me post this a few times now but I really am obsessed with how much a floor length mirror can elevate an ordinary table plan into a focal point of any venue. This one featured at last year and was styled amongst pillar candles and gorgeous lanterns to tie in with the light and airy fine art style. Where would you like to see your wedding seating chart?

Recently on a consultation call it dawned on me just how many possibilities there were for your table names. Yes, traditional numbers will always be a firm favourite but if you’re feeling a little adventurous there are plenty of ways to bring your experiences as a couple into this element of your wedding. Think date locations, trips you’ve taken together, names of pets (if you’re lucky enough to have more than just a couple of furry friends)… with each client call I’ll supply a short handy hints guide to wording for all of your signage containing a list of creative options and ways we can demonstrate your personality in your signage. In most cases, I prefer to hand deliver my clients pieces directly to the venue of their wedding or special occasion. Although I’m able to use multiple tools and sealants with my work there is no guarantee that your mirror or signage won’t suffer from a scratch or two in transit, so I like to be on hand to touch up and make sure the piece is completely perfect before your guests arrive!

I recently had the pleasure of working with the wonderful team at on site at and truly saw the importance of styling your signage to fit your event setting and theme. The light tones of these dried floral arrangements and gleaming white cross back chairs worked perfectly with white lettering and this small gold framed heart mirror.

Signage can be used for more than welcoming guests, seating plans, and so on - pieces like this are a small detail, often overlooked, but never forgotten 💖

Can you believe I’ve been focusing on this little business for more than a year now?!

It was in February last year that I started really thinking about the possibilities for my business and when I decided to take an approach that focussed on weddings with a little help from ‘s Wedding Business Club and the lovely community of wedding suppliers on this app who have been nothing more than supportive.

Since then, I have absolutely loved being part of my couple’s special days and have been able to expand my offering to include other events such as baby showers, hen parties, wedding anniversaries, and all of the special celebrations in between.

I’m so grateful to be able to look forward to an exciting 2022 💖

Another snap from my branding photo shoot with earlier last year! She was so lovely to work with and really put me at ease in front of the camera - I certainly wasn’t used to it after months of lockdowns but I had a great time and was so thankful to Natalie 🥰

Choosing a photographer is such an important thing for your wedding day. Consider their style of photography, personality to make sure you gel well, and also consider if you’d like to have two shooters to capture all of the special moments you experience as well as your guests!

Smaller details are often forgotten about when it comes to weddings. Vow and speeches can be tied into the overall look and styling of the day. Even small accents such as tags to reserve aisle seating for the wedding party can be used to elevate your guests first impression.

Have you created a mood board yet?

If you’re planning your wedding, by this point you’ve probably seen five different styles of table plan, welcome sign, and place name you can’t decide between. I often find there’s too many options to pick from! The best way to build the vision for your wedding, party, or special event is to put all of your favourite looks and styles together to get the overall image and see if you can find the themes, colours, and styles that stand out.

These polished agate slices are just one way you can direct your guests to their seat, and they also act as lovely favours too

Mirrors are often the star of the show at weddings, though incredibly hard to photograph

This was part of a set I created for a lovely couple in the summer season last year. The couple supplied a matching set of mirrors from their home giving an even more personal touch to the big day🥰

2021 ended up being a year of firsts. I launched my website, participated in my first styled shoot, had what I would consider to be my first 'proper' client, and finally started to get the hang of what I was meant to be doing, though with a lot of learning still to go!

I'm also thrilled to have been able to say that with the support of wonderful clients who purchased from me during the Christmas period I'm ready to make a donation of £86 to - thank you all so much for supporting me in the past year

In 2022,
- I'll hopefully be getting involved in a lot more weddings - without a doubt my favourite way to get creative with calligraphy
- I'd also love to start renting wedding and event signage at lower price points - I'm thinking welcome signage and table numbers?
- I'll also be exploring how I can use my online store in a more manageable way

I can't wait to see what this year brings for us all 💖

What a welcome this was, even if I do say so myself!

Such a lovely day celebrating Mr & Mrs West - a wedding bursting at the seams with so much love and laughter! 💖

I'm so lucky to have been able to attend and see some of my work in action, including this welcome sign. The groom welded this amazing copper stand, finished with some florals and pink ribbon.

I love when clients come to me with a vision for their day and a list of ideas and examples of what they are looking for. Charlotte and Myles celebrated their special day over the weekend, complete with a stunning helicopter entrance! Today is national #handwriting day! ✍️ If you managed to catch my @mindcharity crafternoon back in December you'll know this definitely isn't my handwriting - I may love my stationery and #Calligraphy but you won't see me writing like this in my notebook!
