Must say that I’m rather chuffed with this little beauty. I decided I’d make a living Easter wreath this year again as they last so well & can continue to grow In the garden afterwards. I got these gorgeous violas in the bargain aisle of the garden centre & reused my Christmas wreath frame, moss & some old decorations. Up cycling at its very best 👍🏻 Happy good Friday everybody! 🐣 🐇 🌞 💐 🍫 🥚 💕

First lot of Spring posies have gone out for sale this morning. Spring is finally here and the sun is shining… woop! Absolutely adore these light and dreamy pink and the avant garde tulips along with the bridal crown and replete narcissus. So many more yet to come & I cannot wait to see them. I absolutely love this time of year when all the spring blooms are unfurling after their long winters nap & & showing off their true beauty. Despite it being a little chilly out there, it’s lovely to see the sun shining. ✈️

What a beautiful frosty morning out there. Jack Frost has most definitely been at large overnight. The garden resembles Narnia out there today. Think I’ll wait a day or two before I start my greenhouse tasks ❄️ ☀️

I really have had quite the change of heart on my relationship with Chrysanthemums this year. No longer associated with gaudy colours in plastic wrap famously found at petrol stations but these delicate besties that just last for ages. They really are a breath of fresh air at this time of year when everything else has gone over.

Whilst feeling a little glum that most of the cut flower patch is going to sleep for the Winter, I am pleased as punch to have discovered these lovely Chrysanthemums. I’m particularly fond of the Avignon pink ones but the salmon and white variety are pretty marvellous too. These beauties, along with a few stems of Strawflower, fennel, verbena, herbs and ninebark made their way into a lovely vintage jam jar arrangement Still life in the flower patch yet.

Well that’s a definite sprinkling of Jack Frosts finest. The end of another growing season. Sad to think that all those precious buds on the dahlias & cosmos, with all the promise of beautiful blooms will now just fade away. Hey ho onwards and upwards, plenty to be getting on with for next years display.

Just look at the size of this beauty 🌸 it absolutely huge and came from a cutting of my Penhill Watermelon that I did in Spring. I thought that I would rescue it from the wind and rain and enjoy indoors. Just love the colours of this one. Too big for arranging with though 😂 So many buds on the plant so stay away frost ✈️

Loving the autumnal colours in this hand tied bouquet which went out yesterday to a very lovely lady to celebrate a special anniversary. The dahlias look almost velvet like and so deep in their colour. They remind me a little of chocolate 😃 Mainly British grown local flowers & herbs ✈️

A fun project for this morning. The boys brief was a cake covered in sweets 🍬 Think I’ve achieved that. Suspect that it will not last long when they get back from airsoft (whatever that may be 😐) Now off to plant my ranunculus whilst it’s quiet and more importantly…. Sunny 🌞

So I have finally come to terms that Summer has been and gone and Autumn has very much made an appearance. After a lovely lunch at my friends, I decided that I needed to pop a few flowers in a jug and bring out the pumpkins 🎃 Feeling a little sad as the cut flower patch is slowly coming to an end & seems like such a long time until it recommences 😞 Anyways onwards and upwards, Autumn 2021 I’m all ready for you now. Still not listening to anyone mentioning the C word though 🎄 😱 🍁

Feeling decidedly like Autumn today. Time to snuggle up and get those Autumnal projects/jobs underway. Most of hardy annuals are poking their little heads up now & plenty of jobs in the garden to be done but for today I’m staying indoors avoiding the ☔️ Felt inspired to bring some autumnal decor into the house with my faux door wreath from 🍁 ☔️

A few little jam jar posies have made their way onto the village stall along with some bunches. The Dahlias really are out in full force now. Loving this little Wizard of Oz, first bloom to come off the plant. ✈️

Totally in love with the colour palette of this little bunch that I bought in this morning. Decided that I needed a little treat after sowing my hardy annuals in the boiling greenhouse. Cannot quite believe we are at that stage already, where has this year gone? ✈️

A rare but very welcomed perk of having a cut flower patch full of blooms is that you can ensure that your house is filled with British grown, pesticide free posies. Must say I rarely get time to do many but it’s lovely when I do. ✈️

Today’s bunches & jam jars have all the autumn feels. Funny how different cutting days bring a totally different vibe to the bunches that you create. Clearly I was feeling all Autumnal yesterday which is funny because it was much sunnier & warmer than today. Must have sensed the change coming 😂 All bunches delivered to the village stall now, get down there quickly as they all sold out yesterday. ✈️

Today’s bunches for the village stall have just been delivered. Lots of blousy Dahlias featured along with other seasonal pretties. Looks like the sunshine is going to make a very welcomed appearance over the next few days so good time to get my seeds sown and borders tidied ✈️

Really enjoyed making this all pretty celebration cake this weekend. A very special celebration deserves a very special cake after all. The cornflowers were an important request as they were part of their wedding bouquet. Not only do the flowers add decoration the the cake but are all edible so nothing will go to waste. What an honour to be able to create something bespoke and tailor made like this. ❤ flowers

What a gorgeous surprise to wake up to on a Wednesday morning. A beautiful gift of a Nye Bevan has just been delivered. I cannot wait to get this little beauty in the garden. I love the fact that they donate £2.50 to NHS charities for each rose sold. This has put a big old smile on my face 🤗 🌹

Sorry not sorry….. more Dahlia pics. I am just in awe at how beautiful these flowers really are. Too impatient to wait for the Penhill Dark Monarch to fully open, that and it had snapped so had to bring inside to enjoy. I absolutely adore how the colours change as they open up. Definitely one of my favs this year. Contemplating how I can possibly get more Dahlias in the garden next year ✈️
