This week has marked 80 years since the D-Day landings, remembering the service and sacrifice of all those involved in turning the tide in the Second World War.

The D-Day operation of June 6, 1944, brought together the land, air, and sea forces of the allied armies in what became known as the largest amphibious invasion in military history.

D-Day was the largest seaborne invasion in history, marking the beginning of the liberation of France and Western Europe.

RIP David McCallum

Alongside Doctor Who, ‘Sapphire and Steel’ was another favourite show of ours in the UK, which starred David McCallum and Joanna Lumley (who became the Doctor in “The Curse of the Fatal Death”)

David McCallum was better known for his role in ‘The Man from U.N.C.L.E.’ - and more recently as “Ducky” in NCIS

For all you Mario fans, it was announced yesterday by Nintendo that Charles Martinet (the original voice of Mario for the Nintendo games) is stepping down from lending his voice to the much loved character, Mario

We were lucky enough to meet with Charles in our Tardis - such a great bloke - and its great to hear that he is now the Mario Ambassador for Nintendo :)
