Story Time 🕛 .. Is it just part of the job?
I made the mistake of assuming my phone was fully charged 🫣. When I arrived at the venue, I started setting up in the area I was told to, despite my team suggesting the client actually wanted it somewhere else.
Halfway through setting up the display, my phone died! As a balloon stylist , I rely on my phone to act as a mirror to check if everything is positioned correctly, so I was stuck, working blind! After finishing the setup on one side of the room, I realized I had to move everything to the other side as my team originally mentioned to the venue . Trust your instincts!
I moved the entire setup and managed to create a beautiful display while waiting for my phone to charge, just so I could capture the content I needed.
Lesson learned: always bring an extension cord and at least two charging cables. Because, trust me, these cords have a mind of their own! When you need them most, they charge at snail speed.
