Cold Water...

I'm no expert but I do know what a positive impact cold water has on the body when implemented into your day safely and with the right breath work...

My day went something like... Work, walk, run, jump in this massive barrel of freezing cold water at 7:30pm...

Cold water is amazing - it boosts the immune system, reduces stress, improves mood, burns calories, improves circulation... increases your libido 😉... among many other benefits!

Later in the year we will be talking into this (guest speaker*) when we host our Men's Mindset and Mindfulness Events... See you there!

Jennifer Bates (Durkin) (Jennifer Bates The Wellbeing Coach.) - A wellness coach who is renowned in the area for her holistic therapy’s and coaching excellence will be taking you through a guided meditation, talking into how you can find your own path and discover the real you.

There will be a talk on Journaling and a chance to buy the very journal Pip Waite uses and created herself to be the happy-go-lucky person she is today, this also goes into goal setting and achieving all you want to achieve in life - you are capable of all you want in life and so much more!

A member/volunteer of The Link Charitable Trust will be going through some Mindfulness crafts as this is an extremely useful method of being still and enjoying the present.

At the end we hope to finish off with a Plate Smashing Ceremony - Smashing your old beliefs to make room for your new positive ones!

Healthy refreshments will be available throughout.

The amazing Catherine York is running the Great North run for The Link Charitable Trust !

She is overjoyed with the progress her daughter has made and how much confidence she has gained from doing the summer activities that The Link CT provides thanks to all of your donations!

' My daughter has joined in a number of your activities over the summer (and previous school holidays) and has made some lovely friends and has come home full of beans, telling me how great the sessions are and how lovely you all are. The activities you are putting on are totally free and if I can raise enough to put on an extra session for the next school holiday then maybe another child can come and feel that they have achieved something good and boost their confidence. This session may be the pivot in their life where they realise that they can do it! '

Just under 2 years ago... I left my job in the manufacturing engineering trade.

I was told that they were making this sector of work a safe and welcoming environment for women and they wanted more to be a part of a revolution - I was and am totally on board!

The truth is that I experienced sexism and objectification most days and was subject to a revenge p**n crime, to which never went to trial and the person who committed the crime was able to walk away.

I just want a safer and more free world for everyone. Abuse comes in many forms.

I have told you part of my story so you know you are not alone.

A huge percentage of women and men experience abuse in some form throughout their lifetime.

I want to be a part of change.
