We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the kitchen staff by assisting with meal preparation, food safety, and ensuring a clean and organised kitchen environment. Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation of ingredients for meals,
Support chefs and cooks in cooking and assembling dishes according to recipes.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing dishes and sanitising work surfaces.
Follow food safety guidelines to ensure all food is prepared safely and hygienically.
Help with inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting shortages.
Assist in catering events by preparing food items as directed.
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a kitchen environment or catering setting is preferred but not essential.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment as part of a team.
A passion for cooking and culinary arts is highly desirable.
