I know I post a few silly memes about vinyls and sync buttons but it is always meant in humour . Anyone who can change the energy in the room by mixing is a dj in my book !

Me seeing ANOTHER “your not a real DJ if” post 🤦‍♂️

I know some of them are just click bait to stir up some engagement but it does my head in!

We should be nurturing upcoming talent and supporting people who want to learn how to mix!!

Nonsense posts making negative claims about what it means to be a DJ don’t have a positive impact on people…

Could we start flipping the narrative maybe?

You ARE a real DJ if you can have a positive impact on people through mixing music.

You ARE a real dj if you mix on a controller

You ARE a real DJ if you use sync button to help you learn how to beat match.

You ARE a real DJ if you don’t mix vinyl.

There is so much more to being a DJ that comes from inside!

To all you aspiring DJs:
Ignore the hate!
Do what makes you feel good!
Learn to master your trade!
