Braithwell Wheelbarrow Races 31st August

On the day there will be an ice cream van, bouncy castles & face painter for the children, a coffee van, food van and the Ruddle Bar will be open all day. The DJ will be playing music until 10pm. The field will be free & safe for the kids to play games and football.

Feel free to fetch your gazebos, camping chairs & picnics, hopefully it will be a great end to the summer.

Special mentions need to go to:

KDR Construction Limited who have kindly sponsored the 2024 wheelbarrow races.

The Braithwell Wheelbarrow Race Committee who have sponsored the cash prizes for the races and who will be organising the wheelbarrows on the day.

Very sad day today when we said goodbye and farewell to Angie Juergens, cleaner at the Ruddle Centre and the changing rooms for many years. Angie and Shaun are leaving the village to be nearer to family in Bircotes and will be sorely missed.

This fine lady has worked tirelessly, and without complaint, far over and above the payment for her labours.

All at the Ruddle Centre, BMRLA and the Butchers Arms FC Braithwell wish her all the best and a hearty welcome anytime.
