We love living and working sustainably in the Highlands, using the best local food and serving it with the best Highland Hospitality whilst supporting the community we live in. Based near the City of Inverness in the Highlands of Scotland, Good Highland Food was established in 2003 by accomplished chef Mike Crook. a loyal following of regular clients who praise him for his diverse repertoire of culinary styles, his passion for fresh, local, seasonal produce and his charm and poise front of house. Good Highland Food draws from a strong portfolio of experienced professional waiting staff and chefs to cater larger events and functions. Whatever the function, Good Highland Food can do as much, or as little, as you want – from full event hosting to bar service, or simply delivering a hamper of ready-to-cook (or reheat) dishes to your holiday cottage.

The bride and groom had chosen Cullen Skink, Fillet of Speyside Venison with veggie options and a buffet dessert table 😋

2024 - what a year it was for us here at Good Highland Food! 😲

As we celebrated being Highland Food and Drink Ambassadors of the Year, we were delighted to start the year working with the golf industry in the Highlands, as main sponsors of Scottish Golf Week, as it came to the Highlands for the first time - we were proud to cater the gala dinner. 🏌️

Hot on the heels of that we catered the opening dinner of the Speyside Whisky Festival at the fabulous Macallan Distillery. 🥃🥃

In the summer months we travelled across the Highlands catering some lovely weddings, several of which were at the beautiful Achnagairn Estate as well as one in the pretty setting of Gordonstoun School. We were also busy providing locally sourced food in the form of gourmet meals and buffet delivery to many visitors looking for foodie experiences across the Highlands, including visitors on the Royal Scotsman.

In the autumn, a highlight is always working with the team at the Moray Chamber of Commerce on their annual dinner - the fastest selling event tickets in the Highlands! We were also delighted to be asked to cater for some celebrities in a film location at the beautiful Glen Affric. 👀

As we end the year, we are grateful to live and work in the beautiful Highlands working together with a passionate Highland Tourism, Hospitality and Events Community. 🥰🥰

And we are very grateful to the many customers we have, many of which have been with us for the majority of our 20 year journey with Good Highland Food. 🙏🙏🙏

🚨A wee bit of fun for charity🚨

Thank you to any of our Good Highland Food customers that are able to help bail Yvonne out for Maggies 🥰

Yvonne Crook, director of the popular event catering company Good Highland Food, has been caught running an illegal whisky distillery in the remote hills above Loch Ness. For months, Crook secretly distilled high-quality whisky, evading taxes and selling it on the black market. The operation was uncovered after a tip-off led to a raid in the Abriachan Hills.

Crook wasn’t alone—she was aided by Ian MacDonald aka "Yiner”, a well known local rascal, who was found transporting the whisky out of Inverness with a haulage company he set up for this very purpose.

Both face charges of conspiracy, fraud, illegal alcohol production and nationwide smuggling, and are now in jail awaiting bail, hoping that their friends in the Highlands will come to their aid.

In a twist, a picture has emerged showing the pair outside the newly constructed illicit distilling visitor centre at the Loch Ness Clansman Hotel, which is set to open soon!

Local authorities are now investigating the project's role in their operations.
