Welcome to Rugby District new LGBTQ+ page. I am a young gay man who has lived in rugby now for good number of years. After visiting other areas around the uk they are all very good at supporting and showing off the LGBTQ+ in the community all year round and I feel this is something rugby doesn’t do enough of. So I am taking on the challenge to try get rugby more LGBTQ+ friendly. Now I am not saying rugby is against the LGBTQ+ community as I have never had a problems in rugby no hate or discrimination but would be nice to have some events, community get togethers and some night life. 🌈
I will be looking to build a committee to help me build the community and start a charity to fund some amazing events and support other local charity’s. Now this dose not need to be people that are part of the LGBTQ+ community as long as you are happy to support me along the way and willing to get involved. 😀 If anyone knows of any other LGBTQ+ groups in the rugby district please get them to contact me would love to have a chat but up to now I am unable to find any.
