From offcuts and stems to leaves and wilted blooms, much of this waste ends up in landfills instead of being repurposed. In fact, floral waste can make up to 40% of a florist’s total waste output—but there’s a better way. This is what it looks like behind the scenes—stems that don’t sell, orders that aren’t collected, and flowers we can’t resell. Consumer habits have a direct impact on waste, and without proper disposal, much of it would simply go to landfill. Did you know that decomposing flowers in landfill release methane, a greenhouse gas more potent than CO2? That’s why responsible disposal is so important. We listen and we don’t judge…. 👀👀 Organise studio after Christmas… Florist Edition. 👀 💐 🧹 This year my main socials goal is to just show you a bit of everything that happens alongside the flowers ofcourse! So today.. I’m baring all… This is a behind the scenes of before and after… that chaos was how I shut the doors on it Christmas Eve. It was so busy and I was working my other job Christmas Eve too.. so I was home last min orders then get the house ready for Christmas Day for Santa arriving 🩷🩷🩵 It was a throw everything in and shut the door and deal with it in 2025 🙈👀 Well 2025 is here and it needed to be done today.
