Conditioning Roses
I thought I’d share with you, One of the most important things we do as florists. That is, the conditioning of our flower order when they arrive, from the wholesaler. This involves cutting the stems on an angle, at least a good inch from the base, removing all of the packaging. Stripping the stems from the (hand tying point down), removing the guard petals, & placing the stems in fresh water with flower food. Only then once they’ve had a drink, are they ready to be used to create, wonderful bouquets and arrangements. Here we have a wonderful example, of some Pink Avalanche roses. I will return to these tomorrow to show you how they’ve opened up. 🌸

Been a grave posey kind of day. Don’t forget I offer a “Grace Service” where I tidy up the plot, take before and after pics, remove old arrangement, trim grass around the plaque, polish the plaque and add a protective spray, and finally place a new arrangement to finish off.
This is just £35 and can be done as often as you like, be it a one off or monthly etc. 💐
