With Autumn 🍄 workshops on the following days and times;

Flower arrangement in water for the service this weekend at 🌸. Stunning dahlia’s grown by Ali from a local dahlia grower, an account worth following.

The large dahlia is called ‘Labyrinth’ and the round one ‘Peaches’ - added some gladioli (need to open for Sunday!) from local supermarket, hypericum, raspberry leaves and other bits from my garden.

🌸Flowers with a view🌸

Couple of weeks ago I arranged flowers for an event held at the clients house, what a view!

Foam free table arrangements, using some of the clients flowers from the garden🌼.

Large arrangement at the entrance of the marque.

Although I dont do weekly flower arrangements any more, I love doing the odd event, especially for this lovely family🧡.

🐣🌷🌸EASTER TABLE ARRANGEMENT🌸🌷🐣

After all the wreaths something a bit different…. This morning we had fun making these beautiful arrangements with largish Contorted hazel branches, various foliage and selection of flowers.

There were some worried faces when we started but all arrangements turned out stunning.

Finishing touches: bulbs in eggs, eggs, nests with eggs and some chicks🐣.

That’s it for me for now with the workshops, looking forward spending some time with my family💜

Last Spring wreath workshop of 2024🌸. It’s been a fun week meeting new people, seeing familiar faces and just having some creative, ‘off’ time with each other.

Todays morning group of women and a happy sleepy 5 week old baby (another brave mum💪🏻) again made their beautiful wreaths in my kitchen. All same material but all turning out differently.

As mentioned last months; there are some exciting things happening in the Sint Nicolaas household.

It might not come as a huge surprise to many of you as we have been talking about it for quite some time, but we have bought a house in Holland, we will be moving ‘back’ after having lived almost 30 years in this beautiful country.

Living in Sevenoaks and Otford has given us so much pleasure, fond memories and we will miss its countryside and people terribly but ‘home’ is calling and with our 4 children having left home it feels like the right time to start this new adventure. The girls are in Holland anyway but the boys will stay in the UK so we definitely will be visiting.

So looking forward, 2024 will be a busy and probably stressful year with no doubt many challenges on the way. The house needs quite some work. Our expectation is that we won’t move before the end of the year.

I therefore made the decision not to to continue my regular membership flower deliveries, or any ‘one off’ flower bouquets orders. Orders already placed will be honoured.

Fear not, before we go I still will be doing workshops throughout the year. Next up are the Spring wreath and table decoration workshop.

As its close to my heart; I will still be creating funeral arrangements together with people for their loved ones on 1:1 basis and will help with small events whenever I can so contact me and I will see what we can do.

Since the start of Flower & Grace in December 2019, I have learned so much about the business and myself but so very grateful for meeting so many lovely people. Many have been loyal customers from the start and you have helped me to develop, being able to support local charities and help me to believe in myself💜.

Looking forward to what 2024 will bring on my path, ever grateful for your support.

THANK YOU post a bit later than previous years but after Christmas I had the dreaded flu/not covid lurgy that totally sapped my energy and afraid still struggling a bit with it.

You might know that for the last couple of years, around Christmas time, my husband and I support 3 very worthy local charities and this year we are able to donate a total of £6,000 divided between ,
Sevenoaks Welcomes Refugees & .

So a huge 💜THANK YOU💜 to those who booked a spot on one of the many workshops or bought the spruce bundles; you helped to make a difference🙏!

A special thank you to Henk from (I know not a popular name these weeks but this Henk is lovely😉) & Nick and Louise from TreeAbility- helping me to keep the costs as low as possible💜

Some exciting things happening here in the Sint Nicolaas household but more about that later, for now I will take a break and plan for Spring wreaths🌷

No doubt many of you are also reflecting on 2023 this last day of the year, it’s a bit double. Realising how quickly the years fly by but also being so very thankful for the many blessings we had.

We sadly started the year with losing two people very dear to us 💗.

It’s been a year of travelling and making the most of Leo’s retirement.

Personal highlights of the year;

💜 a very special weekend retreat with our eldest daughter. Je bent een kanjer en gaat het wel redden💞.

💜visiting our youngest in Italy during her 6 month placement with the whole family for her 21st. Heel erg trots op je lieverd💞.

💜an amazing trip through California & French Polynesia with my husband.

💜having both families together in The Netherlands, celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary with a boat trip and dinner.

I am very grateful for all the support of friends and family I had for my small flower business.

Curious to see what events will cross our path in 2024!
