So my interest for this salad grew after hearing it been mentioned in quite a few American tv series , so I decided to do a bit of research and try it out.
A litre history on it….it is named after a popular restaurant owner Bob Cobb. So in 1937 Bob Cobb had some guests at the end of service one day in his restaurant and just decided to use anything he could find in his refrigerator … and this genius of a salad was developed and became a thing.
Here goes the ingredient and recipe, so note , I left out Chive and blue cheese from mine
- Romaine lettuce
- Avocado
- Cherry tomatoes
- Hard- boiled egg
- Grilled or air- fried chicken breast
- Air fried bacon
- Cucumber(optional)
- Cheese (I didn’t add on for mine)
Cut your lettuce , into small bits and layer it into your bowl or platter , cut up your avocado , cherry tomatoes and basically all the ingredients and layer them as desired over the lettuce. Then finish off with your preferred dressing ,I used vinaigrette. Try this and tell me if you like it. If you want me to make it for your personally then send me a DM.
