A lasting message...
Here's a lovely idea for a Celebration of Life or a funeral service to add a personal touch and meaning to the service.
A message tag to write a private few words of farewell during the reflection time of a ceremony and which can then placed with the coffin before leaving the chapel.
A quiet, thoughtful and heartfelt wish.

What does it Funeral Celebrant do?!
Lovely to chat with Francesca at Kenwood Hall this afternoon about how I work as a Celebrant and all things Celebration of Life.
A funeral service doesn't have to be held at the Crematorium you know, there are so many beautiful venues like Kenwood Hall or Whirlow Brook Hall where I can lead a Celebration of Life as part of a separate ceremony.

This Living Wreath captures everything I believe as a Celebrant and a Florist.
It reflects the natural process of life and death, the return to the earth and provides a Celebration of Life as an ongoing memory.
As a Florist, it is designed free of plastic, it is eco-friendly in the materials used and will carry on growing through the plants I used.
It's a beautiful tribute for a loved one, personalised of course and deeply meaningful.

Understanding. A wonderful part of being both a Celebrant and a Florist is that I get to talk to the family and understand what is important to them, how they want to remember their loved one, how little touches can make the difference. And also to try and fulfil any wishes left by the deceased.
This lady had made a note before she died that she wanted her coffin covered in pansy stickers, she didn't want any flowers but loved pansies cos they have little happy faces.
I created this for her coffin and tribute, unique, personal and exactly what she wanted. The family then shared the plants after the service so they could keep her memory alive in their gardens.
It's always worth making a note of your own funeral wishes so you get what you want for your last hurrah x

I hope you don't need me...but when you do then I am an experienced Funeral Celebrant and Florist, I work with families at a time of loss and grief to create a warm, sensitive and meaningful Celebration of Life which is full of personality and love.
We all only get one funeral so please make it truly individual and special.

I work as both a Celebrant and a Florist, and last week had the honour of providing both the Funeral Service and Floral Tribute for a family.
The black butterfly had enormous meaning to them, it is a symbol of the passing of a loved one, the soul departing and also a message of release, transition and rebirth.
I wove the significance of the black butterfly into the words of the Ceremony and dotted lace butterflies through the tribute flowers and the order of service.
Unbeknown to me, as I read the Service and Committal, a black butterfly danced outside the chapel window behind me.
It fluttered next to me outside then flew off as I left.
Nature...

What a beautiful day again, October has been so full of colour and texture.
This was one of my favourite designs to do, for a seasonal and sustainable tribute for someone who really loved their garden.
Plants, seed heads and flowers for all the natural gorgeousness.
