We are your caterers, Anna Lance and Nicky Hawtin-Butcher, two friends who met at University, lived and worked in London together, hosted many a lavish dinner party and ran a cake stall in a London market. We’re passionate about great food, good friends and fun times. We both moved to Dorset to grow our families, pets and vegetables, to get our fill of fresh air and great local produce and to bring our culinary venture, Pride & Chime, to you. We both have a passion for tasting and cooking cuisine from all around the world. As we have both travelled extensively and lived abroad, we enjoy trying new flavours and adding them to our recipe repertoire alongside British classics. We use local ingredients where we can, but only if it doesn't compromise on flavour. Our name 'Pride & Chime’ derives from our children’s names Leon Otto and Margot Wren (the collective of lions being a Pride and that of wrens being a Chime). But we also like what the words mean to us. Pride; showing strength, reliability and that we take pride in our cooking while Chime represents mobility and freedom and that we work in harmony together. These are all qualities that drive us.
