Whether you are saying 'I do!' or committing to that (hand Fasting), renewing vows, welcoming a new addition to the family, wishing to mark one of life's milestones or any other celebration for that matter... I can help you make that happen! I specialise in Norse ceremonies as well as Asatru, Pagan and Celtic. Ceremonies and celebrations can be held at a place of your choosing alternatively, I can suggest a range of suitable venues that will fit with your magical day.

It is with great pride that White Raven would like to announce a partnership with Nicky of Thorn and Found A multiple award winning photographer who's work has been featured in many national and international publications.

Our relationship was born out of a mutual deep love for Norse, Pagan and alternative celebrations. Nicky just gets me and when I am working with a couple on their special day, whatever that may be, she is able to truly capture the emotion and meaning of the moment.

Nicky’s style entails an earthy film and documentary approach. She uses warm tones with candid, natural shots and some subtle posing.

Nicky has been involved with most of my events and ceremonies, I wouldn’t be without her. Of course you may wish to have a photographer of your own choosing however, I can highly recommend working with a cohesive team such as us. If you would like to have a chat to Nicky about photographing your wedding or any celebration or occasion, she would love to hear from you.

Samhain Souling At Wild Heart Hill
The brooms swept away all that did not serve and opened the space for the night. As the mist drifted accross the valley the ancient story of Herne was brought to life. Out of the darkness the hooden horse glided into our midst, otherworldly and ethereal. Led by Jose, the guardian of the land Wild Heart Hill 🌿 Herne and horse guided the procession up the ancient hill. The call went out to ancestors of culture, place, kith and kin and the beacon lit upon the hill ... a cacophony of noise, drums and voices were heard far and wide.
Soul cakes were shared as we chanted a song for the ancestors and the Beltane wreath placed upon the Samhain fire 🔥 signifying the change of the season and stepping into the winter months

Mythago Morris performed a spell binding fire dance that had us all entranced. All joyously joined in dancing a spiral dance, honouring ancestors old with their dance and song.

A truly meaningful, magical evening honouring those gone, connecting to earth and each other as we shared a warming meal around the fire.

It is with a grateful heart I give thanks to all who were there, all who took part, putting heart and soul into such a spectacular night igniting an ancient custom guided by the marvellous Mythago Morris. I am sure many will join me in saying we are looking forward to next Samhain 🔥

More amazing pictures to follow 😊

A Mother Blessing is a special ceremony designed to acknowledge, honour and celebrate a woman’s rite of passage into motherhood.

For the first time, White Raven Ceremonies is offering mother blessings at The Wellderness Beltane Fire and Feast Festival 2025 🔥 at Wild Heart Hill Findon.

Usually best done from the second trimester, friends and/or family members are encouraged to participate. Alternatively the White Raven family can stand in proxy for absent friends or family.

It is preferable to pre-book for this uplifting, meaningful ceremony and you are welcome to PM me for a chat. You are of course welcome to drop in to the White Raven Ceremonies space at the festival and we shall endeavour to facilitate your motherhood blessing 🧡

Each year White Raven is the attending celebrant at The Wellderness Beltane Fire and Feast Festival held at the beautiful Wild Heart Hill Apart from handfastings and other blessings, I also officiate over Ausa Vatni/Nafnfest (Name Fastening) and this next Beltane I have the honour of facilitating my own grandson's Nafnfest 🥳

Formally announcing a newborn’s or young child's name (or a person's change in name) is a very powerful milestone, it is a word that will have immense meaning as well as power and therefore influence over them for the rest of their life - a key component to their identity. It is also a wonderful opportunity for parents and family to convey their hopes and dreams for their child’s future. Promising to help support, protect and guide the child through life has traditionally fallen to Godparents (christianity) however, we don’t use this term, instead Guideparents or Guardians take on the honoured role and can be an integral part of the ceremony with other family members and guests. (Parents to ensure it is understood the term Guardian in this sense is not the same as legal guardian)

There are a number of different rituals that can take place as part of the child’s naming ceremony which we can discuss. None of these set the child necessarily on that path, they are always free to choose their own way as they grow. The ritual known as 'Ausa Vatni' was carried out in iron age viking-era by sprinkling water over the baby and their name declared before the community. A gift was also given to the child whether the family was rich or not. It was called the Nafnfest which meant the Name Fastening. The parents, especially the fathers, would give their newly-born child a gift, for example, a ring, weapons, or other tokens. Those gifts were commonly related to the farms or the lands.

My Naming Ceremony will normally follow this Norse format, invoking the Norns, Fr**ga and various dieties as well as adding elements that the parents and family wish to include. All of these details will be discussed and agreed upon in our various consultations.

Each naming ceremony will be different depending on the family’s circumstances beliefs and personal preferences. I will always do my level best to accomodate all requirements and aspects of your special day.,

So... time to plan ahead if you would like to take your young one through a beautiful and meaningful name fastening ceremony or perhaps you yourself have decided to change your name and would like it declared, pop the 10 May 2025 in your diary and make a family day of it. Done at the Beltane Festival at a fraction of the usual cost. Please PM me for details or ping me an email [email protected] so that together we can help your dreams take wing.

Just taken delivery of Bloodmoon Mead and a free snazzy wee drinking horn from Raven Forge ... looking forward to a taster a bit later... perhaps to add as my mead of choice for ceremonies. I shall let you all know how fares the tasting 😋

Are you celebrating a special anniversary next year or looking to renew your vows? Perhaps your original ceremony didn't quite go according to plan or wasn't the meaningful experience you had dreamed of. Either way I can help.

Every year White Raven is the attending celebrant at the Wellderness Beltane Fire and Feast Festival, offering vow renewals, handfastings and blessings for couples just like you.

Better yet, as this is a community-minded affair, you're able to benefit from the same level of love, spirit and attention to detail we provide in all of our ceremonies at a fraction of the usual cost.

Family and friends are, of course, welcome to book tickets to join you in your celebrations and all of you can enjoy the entertainment, food and drink that is on offer at this lovely, friendy festival.

If you would like to pre-book your special ceremony for May 2025, we can arrange to meet in person or via Zoom in order for me to personalise your celebration and help your dreams take wing. Just PM me.

Unfortunately Mel has been taken hostage by the great wyrm Fafnir in exchange for vast quantities of gold (dragons love gold) and so will be unable to entertain you with wild tales of heroes and heroines until she manages to fight her way out of the dragon's lair 🐉
