Exciting News and BIG THANK YOUS!

A huge thank you to Anna Sadler, Emma Chapman at the Marches Growth Hub, and Melanie Boulter at Be Bold Media for their incredible support in helping my company Opus Media Productions feature as a page lead in this week's Shropshire Star. This press coverage opportunity means so much, as it highlights the hard work, creativity and passion that drives me to do what I do. My mission has always been to try and help my clients tell their stories and bring their creative visions to life through quality media content, audio and video production in the studio, or on location. It’s an honour to see my story shared with the local Shropshire community.

I am excited to announce that I will soon be launching a new podcast series which will celebrate the achievements of individuals whose small, intentional actions create waves of positive change.

This week I welcomed to my studio, friend and collaborator Chris Taylor as a guest in the Small Actions, Big Ripples podcast that will be launching in Jan 2025. Chris is the driving force behind SY.gigs a series of eclectic alternative music events in Shrewsbury, aiming to promote mental wellbeing and foster community connection through live music and the creative arts.

In this special eps, which will feature music tracks by artists who performed as part of series 2.0 of SY.gigs, (feat. Rebelski, Scrimshire, Audrey Carmes) Chris shared:
- What inspired him to start SYgigs.
- The ups and downs of bringing his creative vision to life.
- How music and art can transform lives, including Chris’s own.

It's always a joy to see people being transported to a different time and place through live music.

On Sat night, despite the stormy weather, I had the pleasure of performing live Greek music on my bouzouki and demoing dances from my native country for a VIP event in Ludlow's Athena Greek restaurant. The live music, paired with the unmistakable aromas of authentic Greek food cooked with passion and love by the proprietors Linda (born in Greece but raised here) and Dave (the loveliest Scottish guy you would ever hope to meet), made for a special atmosphere reminiscent of sunnier climes. There was singing, dancing to the Zorba tune and a spot of ouzo drinking of course. No plates were harmed you would be pleased to know.

Thrilled to spend an evening in the company of and music industry leaders reflecting on the incredible journey of the music industry's climate foundation that is . From grassroots campaigning to cutting-edge research, what has been achieved so far is truly remarkable. Looking into the future, there are many challenges that need to be overcome until everyone is on board with the idea of harnessing the power of music in service of the planet. Everyone in the room agreed that the transformative potential of music and its capacity to engender positive change is huge, we just need to work together to make it happen. It's true that music alone can't change the world but it can surely help to change the way we think about our precious planet and that is a gift we can't afford to let go to waste.

Did you know singing can help children living with asthma to better manage their symptoms?

I spent the morning in the studio with Shropshire born opera singer and vocal coach Beatrice Floyer-Acland, filming a series of instructional singing videos that are geared towards children living with asthma. The videos, soon to be available on public domain, are a result of a joint initiative between the Shropshire Music Service and NHS Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin. Once available, the videos will further support the NHS Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin children and young people asthma programme, an exciting new project that aims to offer targeted care to children and young people with asthma who are at high risk of admission to hospital.
