Our Story

Bromwich Park is a working farm situated in the rural county of Shropshire, close to the beautiful Welsh borders. It is a wonderful place to host your wedding celebrations, full of quirk and character, with the freedom and flexibility to ensure your special event is just as you would wish. Surrounded by open fields, Bromwich Park feels very out of the way but is only 10 minutes from the historic market town of Oswestry and just a 90 minute drive from Liverpool, Manchester and Birmingham. We also offer luxury self-catering holiday accommodation in the recently converted Granary Cottage which sits at the heart of the farm. The farm buildings and fields would also be suitable for retreats or workshop weekends amongst other things Your friendly hosts Nicholas and Julian live in the main farmhouse and are on hand to assist you with any wedding planning or holiday advice you require.

Weddings & Events For a venue as unique as you, Bromwich Park Farm offers you the exclusive use of a range of indoor and outdoor spaces which are perfect for creating your own rustic, festival style celebrations which can be as formal or informal as you like. The place will be yours to create your perfect party - decorate it in your style, choose your own catering and play your own music. The only limit is your imagination. The Cow Barn is a large open space, a blank canvas which can be decorated however you like, much like a marquee. Perfect for a reception with live bands and dancing . It is a good size for 100 - 250+ guests . The Milking Parlour is a cosy, bohemian party room, lounge and bar retaining original milking features where you can dance into the night . Between The Cow Barn and The Milking Parlour is the paved Courtyard Garden, with outdoor furniture, a pergola and fire bowl. This space is perfect for champagne receptions, ceremonies or performances. The Granary Cottage at the heart of the farm makes the ideal luxurious nest for the bride and groom to escape to throughout the celebrations. You can create your own wedding ceremony in the open air on Promise Knoll, a moated ancient scheduled monument in front of the farm, or in the Courtyard or inside in the Cow Barn. We don’t yet have a full wedding licence but there are registry offices in nearby Oswestry and Shrewsbury and a beautiful small church in Maesbury where you can have your legal ceremony. We have a Camping Field in front of the house for guests who like to sleep under canvas or in camper vans, with a campfire and barbecue area. Camping guests can also make use of a camping kitchen in an old stable. If glamping is more your style, we can also arrange for fully furnished bell tents to be set up ready for you. There are also plenty of hotels and B&B’s for guests in the surrounding area. We only host a handful of wedding parties each year at Bromwich Park. The venue will be yours for the whole weekend so you won’t feel rushed. Accommodation The Granary cottage retains the rustic charm of the original farm building, beautifully restored to create comfortable and well-appointed self-catering accommodation with all modern comforts. The cottage is welcoming, cosy and full of rustic charm with tasteful furnishings and decor reflecting its country setting providing relaxed and luxurious accommodation for up to 4 guests in 2 bedrooms. With original oak beams and reclaimed wooden paneling, the ground floor is open plan with a handcrafted redwood kitchen that is fully equipped as you would expect. There is a dining area and cosy living room, complete with a wood burning stove. An eco, wood-pellet underfloor heating system also provides constant hot water. Upstairs you will find the stunning master bedroom, with exposed beams, a bespoke rustic oak 4 poster king-sized bed, and views across the fields and the beautiful courtyard garden. There is also a comfortable twin bedroom and a main bathroom with bath/shower. Large stable doors from the kitchen and lounge open out to your private breakfast patio. There is access to a larger, less private, courtyard which is the perfect spot to make the most of the summer sun. There is also an enclosed, sheltered and private area by The Orchard where you can relax and children can play safely and a barbecue area in an adjacent field. Although it is close to The Farmhouse and the adjacent Coach House accommodation , The Granary cottage feels completely private and is not overlooked at all . TV (with Freeview), DVD, sound system Bedrooms - One double, one twin. All bed linen, duvets and pillows provided. i-Pod docks Bathroom - Bath, shower, basin and toilet. Hairdryer. Towels provided
