The results are in!! Before I announce this year's winners... I just want to say that the amount of creativity that went into this year's 'Bug in the Garden' displays, has been unbelievable!! Thank you to everyone of you who took part in this year's competition. You have brought a lot of smiles to the village!! And a huge thank you to our judges who were so impressed with the high standard of this year's displays.

So without further ado. Here are the placings for the Children's category:

1st Place - Mya & Anna
2nd Place - Betty, Herbie & Effie
3rd Place - Jacob & Charlie

And the Adults category:

1st Place - Fiona & Andrew

I'm so sorry to announce that this year's Kingsbury May Festival which was due to take place on Monday 6th May, has been cancelled due to standing water on the fields.

The decision was not taken lightly and we are truly sorry to all our stall holders, performers, and to every single one of our supporters.

Thank you again for your ongoing support and have a good bank holiday weekend.

Welcoming back to the Kingsbury May Festival the beautiful voices of our two local choirs Kingsbury Episcopi Primary School Choir and Langport Community Choir.

Both choirs will be performing in Kingsbury Episcopi Methodist Church on Monday 6th May. The first performance will be the Kingsbury Episcopi Primary School choir at 1.45pm followed by Langport Community Choir at 2.30pm... Last chance to fill in your entry forms for the 2024 'Bug in the Garden' Competition!! Entry deadline closes on **Wednesday 1st May**.

Pick up your entry forms from the Kingsbury Shop counter. All entries need to be handed back in to the shop before it closes on Wednesday. If you can't get to the shop, just contact Angie Clay on 07799 416638 before the end of Wednesday.

Don't miss this amazing opportunity to take an escorted tour to the top of the tower of Church of St Martin, Kingsbury Episcopi during the Kingsbury May Festival on 6th May 2024.

Tours will take place between 1pm & 3pm and will last 20 - 30 minutes.

The tower is 100ft high with spectacular views for 10 miles all round! You'll also have the opportunity to see the six bells weighing 3 tonnes & the 19th Century clock!

There is a small charge of Β£2 for Adults and Β£1 for under 16's (who must be accompanied by an adult) - No children under the age of 5 please and no dogs.

Do you have something to mend? Well you're in luck! We're delighted to announce that Langport Repair Cafe are returning to this year's Kingsbury May Festival on Monday 6th May 2024.

Come visit the Repair Cafe teams who will be based in Harry's Field (TA12 6AX) between 11am and 5pm, and don't forget to bring along your item(s) to repair whether it be tools, jewellery, radios, textiles, objects of sentimental value, musical instruments, furnishings, toys, small electrical items, crockery etc - if you can't carry it from the car, it's probably too big!

It's time to give a big shout out to our four-legged friends and their loving owners!

We're so happy to confirm that after last year's huge success, St Giles Animal Welfare will be hosting another fantastic dog show at this year's Kingsbury May Festival on Monday 6th May 2024 in Harry's Field.

The popular agility course will be running all day between 11am & 5pm so come along and give it a go. Who knows what hidden talents your pup has!

The main event will run from 1 - 3pm where you can show off your pride and joy in the St Giles Animal Welfare Dog show! The categories include Best Puppy (Under 12 Months), Fabulous Fella, Loveliest Lady, Best Rescue, Waggiest Tail, Best Junior handler and Best Golden Oldie.

So excited to see you and your four-legged friends in action.

Who's ready to get in the mood for the 2024 Kingsbury May Festival?

Good news.... The Bug in the Garden competition is now officially open! Turn your front garden/front of house into a bug spectacular ready for judging which takes place on Saturday May 4th

You can find the entry form at the Kingsbury Shop and return by 1st May deadline. We'll also be collecting entry forms at this Sunday's Willow Workshop so feel free to bring them along with you or fill them out while you're there!

11am - 3.30pm drop in! Join us at the Church rooms in Church St, Kingsbury, for Willow craft fun where you can make your very own work of art to carry during the May Festival Procession.

All willow and tuition will be provided and a donation on the day would be appreciated towards the cost of the hall & willow.

It's that time of year again!! 🐣 So excited to see you all at this year's Good Friday Walk which is in aid of Cystic Fibrosis and Kingsbury May Festival!

Friday 29th March meeting at Rose & Crown pub car park in East Lambrook (TA13 5HF) at 9.45am (for 10am start). The walk will finish with lunch at Hill House in Stembridge.

Next Sunday!! Join us for some crafty fun at our 'Bug Making Day' where we'll be starting the preparations for this year's Kingsbury May Festival where the theme is 'Year of the Insect'.

Sunday 17th March, 11am - 3pm at the Church School Rooms in Church Street, Kingsbury Episcopi. Pop in anytime!

We'll provide all the materials, and there will be refreshments too. No skill is needed, you just need to bring your enthusiasm!. You will find your work of art displayed somewhere around the festival site, so you'll have fun searching for it on the big day 😊

Children must be accompanied by an Adult.
