It’s the shortest day of the year today. Traditionally known as Yule or the winter solstice ❄️

The celebration is for the returning of the sun king, to bring us light again.

It is a day when we reflect back and see what we want to release and let go of from this year?

I have a lot to release!! I also have lots to look forward to and to welcome in ☀️

A very successful night at the stunning castle hill estate illuminations!
Charlie was a real star helping me merchandise the stall and chatting to customers 😜
Sold half the stock on day 1 so best get making up some more tomorow!

A busy old day in our house today ✨✨

10 fresh wreaths filled with various foliage (my hands are ruined from the juniper!) and decorations, ready to go for the Castle Hill illumination Christmas fair 🎄

I also had a go at making my own orange slices and they turned out pretty good and much cheaper than buying them.

8 large oranges sliced thinly (costing £4 )and in the lowest setting on my electric over for about 4 hours until bone dry (costing £3ish) Any moisture left will just turn them moldy. 🍊🍊🍊🍊🍊🍊

Finished off with a hot bubble bath, candles and of course a glass of bubbly left over from last nights workshop! 🥂 cheers! ###

An absolute corker of a wedding at Chilli Barn in Sussex.
All the flowers were grown for the bride for her special day 🌹
Colourful and seasonal were the order of the day and we managed to pull it off! 🥰
