Welcome to the historical Old Bridge, a 16th Century Elizabethan manor house, located in rural Somerset. Surrounded by two acres of enchanting grounds and gardens, it is the perfect setting for your special occasion. Old Bridge is built with the local, honey coloured Ham Stone and has a wonderfully warm and unique character. It is our pleasure for us to share it with those of you who would like to
enjoy the property as a majestic backdrop to a memorable celebration. We are entirely focused on your special day. Our events will never overlap to ensure everything runs as smoothly as possible. You will have exclusive use of the marquee, gardens and grounds for your event allowing you to arrange all the proceedings as you wish. You will have access to the venue the day before your event to prepare and install your decorations and also on the day after to clear down and collect any belongings. Old Bridge is a perfect venue for gatherings both large and small. Our marquee can be partitioned to accommodate smaller parties. All of the facilities we provide are flexible and can be moulded to fit your needs. From 2017, we will open the main hall in the house with a licence for Marriages. You also have the freedom to arrange your preferred food, drink and entertainment exactly as you wish and an added bonus – we don’t charge corkage or VAT.

We like to make good use of the ceremony room during the winter months, whilst we’re not hosting weddings. Instead with fill it with a lot of family and an awful lot of noise!!!
Tom and Katie tied the knot with us last Saturday, our final wedding of the season, and certainly one that kept us on our toes!! The sun shone on this fantastic couple on their big, beautiful wedding day. Congratulations to you both.

Huge congratulations to and who celebrated their wedding at Old Bridge last Saturday. It turned out to be a bit of a wash out but the weather definitely did not dampen the spirits, particularly when the sun finally made an appearance!
At Old Bridge our we have a lovely large marquee which can hold everyone comfortably. So if the weather turns out to be wet then we can be flexible with your arrangements right up to the last minute, whether that’s moving your ceremony from outside to in, or just your welcome drinks!

Something a bit different………a very elegant 70th party! The marquee looked absolutely stunning, with lots of beautiful shrubs and trees decorating the dance floor. First time we’ve had a lorry deliver the foliage!

****Old Bridge Bell Tents Bank Holiday Offer****
Beautiful off grid bell tents in Somerset, just off the A303. These scenic tents are nestled in a field just next to a small stream, and come furnished with ‘proper’ king size beds and bedding, chair and bedside table. There are eco-loos, a hot shower and fire pit with griddle for cooking (logs provided).
Well behaved dogs are welcome.
Washing up facilities are limited (cold water only) and no towels are provided.
All 5 tents from this Friday 3pm - Monday 10am.

Congratulations Mr & Mrs Higgs on their marriage and thank you for celebrating at Old Bridge. After the King’s Coronation the rain cleared and we ended up with a beautiful day, full of love and cheer! What a great start to our wedding season.
