Here at Williby Roc’s CIC, we aim to increase community inclusion to develop and use local green space for play, therapy and learning. We want to provide inspiring and engaging environmental education sessions to all, in particular socially excluded and hard to reach groups. We want support people to increase their connection to nature and provide opportunities to be part of positive community pro

jects to boost confidence and holistic well-being. Our top priority and main focus is positive mental health and we offer support groups to help reduce isolation and increase everyone’s connection to nature and each other. People who attend our sessions will explore their imaginations and take away ideas on how to reuse everyday natural and waste items, making wonderful creations and magical memories. We will show you how to use natural resources to play and craft with which cost little or nothing to gather. We want to encourage outdoor play and discovery for everyone through fun and engaging sessions. We offer a huge range of sessions for all ages and have recently used our skills and experience to set up outdoor mental health support groups where people learn new skills, support one another and experience the therapeutic benefits of Mother Nature. We are constantly evolving to ensure we are delivering exactly what our local community needs and learning new skills to ensure we have everything we need to support them. We hold Enhanced DBS checks and public liability insurance up to £5 million.

Our Story

Here at Williby Roc's, we provide Eco Arts and Crafts for children, specialising in parties, school sessions, community projects, craft workshops and events from age 3 upwards. Unlike other art and craft providers we see waste as a resource, not something that gets thrown away and disposed of. We make it our mission to ensure that this is engrained in everything we do. Children will explore their imaginations and take away ideas on how to reuse everyday waste items, making wonderful creations and magical memories. We will show you how to use natural resources to play and craft with which cost little or nothing to gather. We want to encourage outdoor play and discovery for everyone through fun and engaging sessions. Set up in April 2016, we started out by developing exciting and engaging parties where children used recycled and pre-loved materials to craft and create. We then started to host seasonal activity days, using the bounty of nature as our natural resource. We have taken our bespoke sessions to schools, community groups, museums, play cafes, women’s networks and charities.

In 2017 we developed and delivered a successful community garden project at Bilton Hall through funding from Greener with Greggs and Port of Tyne called Project Dirt. This project went on to win the ‘Greener in South Tyneside’ Award at the Pride of South Tyneside event. Email or message us for friendly chat if you have any ideas how we could work together or would like to book on one of our sessions. We are based in South Shields and travel throughout the region to deliver sessions. Please drop us a message to find out if we are able to cover your area. We both hold Enhanced DBS checks and public liability insurance up to £5 million. Danielle is paediatric first aid trained and a qualified Forest School Leader, Kaye holds a degree in fine art, painting and drawing and a horticulture qualification!
