After 15 years of fantastic service, BBC Radio Solent said goodbye to Bob Diggles who takes on a new amazing role as an intensive care nurse at the QA Hospital soon.

So wonderful stories and memories were shared as of course Bob first came to the south coast to join me on the Power FM breakfast show as Maximum Bob.

How about this as a memory…Bob and with Rachel Brookes and Pippa Head…now that was a team!

My whistle stop tour of BBC stations continues with Sheffield and Manchester. Had a great afternoon with the legend that is Toby Foster and now it’s the highly impressive MediaCity with BBC Radio Manchester and 5Live….to name but a few!

A nice little trip down memory lane now. It’s been great working with Maximum Bob again at Radio Solent, but here is his last day at Power FM back in 2004. Look out for Rachel Brookes, James Haddock and Rob Crisp who took over the ‘street boy’ duties from Bob and nicknamed ‘Crispy’!

I’m still here! Busy planning the new afternoon show on BBC Radio Solent in February….plenty of anoraking for me today, sitting in on Adam Dowlings afternoon show on BBC Radio Sussex - I do like the Magic Music quiz!

Planning loads of new and familiar things for my own show as well, where you will be the star!

What else can I tell you? Music from the 70s through to today, loads from the Sports team giving the very best coverage of Pompey, Saints, Cherries and so much more. Lots of weather, travel and brilliant guests that make live on the south coast the best place to be!

Luckily, I’ve now learnt how to use the play out system and download songs….time to play soon!

A quick heads up! I’ve been asked when my new show starts on BBC Radio Solent. As there will be much more content than my Wave 105 show and of course NO AD BREAKS (yippee!) the show needs lots of planning to get everything just right. We will be ready to go in February but I will be posting regular updates and wanting your feedback on what you’d love to hear on the new afternoon show!

You can hear us on BBC Sounds, DAB across the south and on 96.1 and 103.8FM in Dorset, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.
