Thank you to those who braved the weather on Saturday and attended the Love Where You Live event and completed our questionnaire regarding the services you’d like to have if the Hightown Centre re-opens, for those who missed the opportunity to tell us, you can tell us your views/opinions on-line by copying and pasting the link below into your search engine.

For anyone interested in the future of the Hightown Community Centre (just outside Hightown school)
You may be aware that we were forced to close the Hightown Centre last December. Historically the centre was a hub for the community, and despite it not being used to full capacity for some time now, closing it has left the building with an unclear future and liable to be lost permanently to the community. We are very keen to make repairs to the building and get it re-opened, so that the community once again have a space to connect and hold activities.
We are in the process of writing a grant application which must be completed by the 10th April. As part of this we need to gauge what support we have, hence this email. We would like to invite you to a short, open public, online meeting this Thursday 4th April at 6:30pm where we will discuss the level of support that we have for this project. This may be that you would simply like to be kept updated on the process, or you may be interested in forming a group to help us in the bidding and/or renovation. All support is welcome and if you have other ideas about how you can support us, we’d love to hear them too.

Easter Egg Hunt & Lunch

The Easter Eggs Hunt & Lunch is for Primary School Children only, who attend Thornhill, Hightown, Kaneshill Primary & Springwell Schools & Their Siblings or Primary School Children Who Live in Thornhill.

The Children will be joined for lunch by Older Members of the Thornhill Community & Members Medwall Court OAP Club.
