I opened The Bridal Suite in 2003 after the struggle and poor experiences I
had looking for my wedding dress. I was so excited I wanted to burst and tell everyone the plans that I had been secretly dreaming up since I was 10 years old. Retail was in my blood and
having completed a fashion design and marketing degree I was well equipped to
understand what customers wanted. I started sketching my

dream dress and as one
design flowed off the page after the other it was just a natural progresion that I would open my own shop. In 2016 I decided to change my shop to purely cater for Brides with curves! I heard time and time again the struggle that larger brides had when looking for their dream dress! At The Bridal Suite I have 3 main objectives

1, To offer Plus Size brides a selection of sample gowns ALL dedicated to their size 16-30.

2, To only sell dresses that support, enhance and flatter a fuller figure.

3, To promote a body positive ethos and offer gowns that make brides love their amazing feminine curvy shape �

But my overall aim is to give curvy brides the same fun memorable experience when shopping for their wedding dress and the same wide selection to choose from that smaller brides enjoy.

This is the most perfect dress if you are curvy! The design deliberately draws the eye to the centre of waist. The wide set straps broaden the shoulders creating an illusion of smaller waist. The bodice is extra b***d and interlined for support.

Our Story

I opened The Bridal Suite 10 years ago after the struggle and poor experiences I had looking for my wedding dress. I traveled far and wide to look for my dress. I was so excited I wanted to burst and tell everyone the plans that I had been secretly dreaming up since I was 10 years old. Retail was in my blood and having completed a fashion design and marketing degree I was well equipped to understand what customers wanted. I started sketching my dream dress and as one design flowed off the page after the other it was just a natural progression that I would open my own shop. I noticed a gap in the market in 2016 and realized that there was a whole group of brides who were being completely neglected by the bridal industry! I decided to dedicate my shop to Curvy Brides and offer them a wide selection and a lovely fun experience that they just were not able to find anywhere else. The Bridal Suite offers brides a relaxed environment to try on a well selected refined range of hand picked designer dresses. The price range is an affordable £895-£1200. I so enjoy my job and even after ten years I can not imagine myself doing anything else. Life is busy with a young baby and 6 year old now. I look forward to the break from weaning and spellings to settle in to my beautiful shop and listen to all the wonderful plans that my brides describe to me.

I love my job and find it so rewarding when a bride with little confidence discovers that in the right dress she not only has a waist, but that she actually feels amazing and starts to blossom into a Beautiful Bridal Suite Bride!
