What is it all about...

As a single woman in my mid-50’s, I tried the online dating scene after the breakup of a long term relationship. Initially I found this experience very daunting and as a result of my personal experiences, conversations with fellow dater's (male & female), together with my passion for meeting people, either through my former roles in stakeholder engagement, high end banquet/conference/event management, or just meeting people, listening to their life stories, interesting nuggets (funny or amazing things that happened to them) or just something that sparks the enjoyment of meeting that person, no matter what the outcome, I have felt the need to pursue this level of social engagement:

South Coast Dinner Society venues have been personally chosen and experienced by myself. These venues promise to deliver the experience at the level I have chosen which is 5 star plus. I am dedicated to deliver an evening that will 'surprise and delight' my guests with amazing food, drinks, entertainment and social engagement to suit the guest list designed for that evening.

How Our Events Work

Age Range 45 - 65ish

Events are planned and developed purely on the results of the SCDC questionnaire. We are simply keen to know your likes: music, type of holiday you like to take, what you like to do in your downtime, your interests, your values and what industry/area you work in (no photo required) and from this information we develop our guest list for each Society Event.

Venues

I am currently working with a few very select venues on the South Coast. I have selected these venues due to their utmost quality and ambience. They range from Boutique type establishments to medieval venues, always quirky, intimate, and with excellent food, service and surroundings.

Our aim

South Coast Dinner Society is not a dating agency. We do not promise to introduce you to your future partner although some of our attendees have directly or indirectly met their partners through us. If you would like to meet a fellow guest again at a later date you can make your own arrangements during the evening, but if the opportunity does not arise we will conduct a post-event evaluation with each dinner guest and this will include the opportunity for each guest to let us know if there was someone they would like to get in touch with. We do not give out guests details to anyone.

The Personal Touch

On receipt of completed questionnaires, the guest list will be pulled together for the next society dinner and evening.

Questions are aimed at your interests, passions and profession (area of work) and not your height, weight, job title and income!

For many people, like myself, making the commitment to attend an event like this could be quite daunting, but from your initial enquiry I am on the end of an email, text or phone right up to the event evening. I will personally host each event and greet each of my Society guests individually for the evening and make their introductions.....the rest is down to you to relax and enjoy an intriguing evening of good company, food and entertainment.

When you find yourself in a room with 29 or 39 other like minded people you will find that your eyes and ears are naturally doing the work for you and you may even end up sitting beside and chatting to that 'unexpected someone' during the course of the evening.....
