I am Emily I love food, travel, deep conversations, and a glass of wine!

Before weddings and events I had spent my entire life immersing myself in the catering and hospitality industry, in-between being a professional singer!

11 years ago I got my first glimpse of event adrenaline, the manic behind-the-scenes action in catering for private estate marquee weddings. I was totally addicted and loved everything about the process of the entire occasion from planning to ex*****on.

After moving to and training in London (whilst running the events and operation of a luxury London venue) my singing took me to lavish occasions in places such as Tuscany, Provence, The Seychelles, and New York. I was booked by some of the most incredible wedding planners and although I loved being a huge part of creating the atmosphere, It was then I realised I truly wanted to be back in the thick of the day again and was going to use all my knowledge to be the one planning not performing.

My background and experience led me to where I am now along with the whole hearted focus, confidence, and belief I have that weddings and events should be about atmosphere and curating an experience that makes you and your guests feel something incredible. As well as designing a beautiful occasion, what I love to create is completely centred around tantalizing the senses based on what can be heard, seen, smelt, touched and tasted.

Planning weddings and events gives me everything I need in life, the buzz and adrenaline, ability to let my creativity and passion for design run wild, and a constant connection to the 2 other transferable worlds I have loved being immersed in my whole life. I truly adore my job and plan and design occasions for the wholehearted appreciation I receive from my clients for simply doing what I know and love, and the relationships I have made along the way.

Planning a wedding together is primarily about making decisions and negotiating compromises. A private estate marquee build at the foot of a lake in the grooms family grounds. A sophisticated, elegant design inspired by C&P with a hint of colour and wild impressive florals. Not forgetting the nightclub we built inside the marquee too!

As with all my designs this was the backdrop to an epic party of house music and roaming trumpet players, cocktail sunset, live jazz band and ending on a high with a explosive firework display.

I can’t wait to share more with you over the coming weeks and go into detail the intention behind all the design elements.

There is no wrong or right time to appoint the services of a wedding planner. I have clients who knew even before they got the ring that they wanted help to execute their wedding due to the demands of their personal and professional lives, and the desire to create a high calibre event and experience for their guests.

Equally, I also have clients who began planning themselves and became overwhelmed during the process, weeks, months or even years in! They had fallen out of love with the idea of their day, couldn’t pin down their design due to the wealth of inspiration available, and associated their wedding with confusion and stress.

In these cases my full planning and design service becomes completely bespoke, I will delve into everything you have planned so far and ensure I know and understand your entire vision as if we had been with you from the beginning. We then backtrack, establish an authentic design concept and after viewing your venue map out a guest experience. I consolidate everything you have spent so far and project any further budget we still require. I introduce myself to any suppliers you have already booked and put together a list of everything we still need to obtain, whilst ensuring that there isn’t anything missing in the services you have already confirmed. Once everything is caught up and we are back on track the collaboration between us continues in the same way as those I have been working with from the beginning, and you can finally start to get excited about your wedding day again!

Weddings have always had an incredible ability to bring people together. I thrive of the honour and responsibility of helping you to plan such a monumental and special milestone in your life. My focus when designing your day is to create an authentic visual concept scattered with personalised details and unexpected touches and to map out a guest experience that’s enveloped in a wow-factor energy, aimed at evoking emotion and encouraging interaction.

The current charge of emotion behind the weddings I have seen and am sure we will see for years to come is overwhelming. It has never been more meaningful or special to hug a loved one, exchange vows in front of a room full of all your family and friends and lose yourself on the dancefloor.

Top things some brides regret after their wedding day & how to avoid them!

Not hiring a videographer - We know pictures tell 1000's words but a wedding video is priceless. The day goes by so fast and having such a detailed physical memory of the day to look back on is so precious.

Sticking to tradition too much - Society tells us to plan certain elements into your wedding day, but the truth is its YOUR day. Don't conform to traditions because you feel you have to, have your wedding your way and that can be totally traditional, mixing and matching or completely new!

Not having a quiet moment - Your wedding really goes by so quickly, it's usually a whirlwind of an experience and I always tell my couples to take a moment out together to just revel in each other. This could be as little as 15 or even 30 minutes to be really present in each others company and have some quality you time.

Listening too much to other people - When you begin planning a wedding everyone has an opinion on everything. How to plan, what to plan, and what to do. It can be really overwhelming and some couples may find themselves planning a day that they never even envisioned in the first place. As a planner, I always have a couples best interests at heart. It's not unusual to be involved in a bit of family mediation either to ensure everyone is kept happy.

Sore feet - Those high stilettos may have looked absolutely stunning but lasting all day in them is a challenge, and we all know when the balls of your feet hurt it's really hard to enjoy yourself. I'm a heels girl through and through but would 100% have another option or pick something with a chunkier heel I could last in!

I'm interested to know are there any married followers on here who have any wedding regrets or agree with any of the above!?

Once I begin to sit down and start designing your day I already know you both pretty well. I've taken the time to find out what makes you tick, how you envision your day to look and feel, and what makes you unique as individuals, your story, your hobbies, and how you fell in love.

By knowing my couples on a personal level I can build a guest experience as a well thought out journey that is authentic and emotional to them, scattered with personalised details.

I thrive off a wedding journey that begins relaxed with the excitement of what's to come bubbling away under the surface. Then, the day moves on to facilitating and encouraging interaction between you and your guests, catching up, revelling in the euphoria and enjoying each others company.

I always include 1 or 2 wow moments in the experience, this is not about 'attention-seeking' as such, we don’t need to go over the top, our wows are tasteful, artful, unobtrusive and memorable. It's always the thoughtful unexpected little things that will impress the most.

Leading into the evening it's all about the build-up of an experience that ends in an epic party fuelled by industry-leading entertainment, exceptional food, and an abundance of champagne, fine wine and signature cocktails! That dance-like-no-one-is-watching energy, creating memories you want to relive again and again.

This is not a ridged formal schedule that has to be stuck too. It's an experience we create together to smoothly transition your guests without them even realising it!

The guest experience is something I put a lot of thought and planning into. It's so important to me and my clients that I not only produce something that's visually beautiful but also an event that has sentimental meaning, evokes emotions and builds an atmosphere.

Providing a luxury service that goes above and beyond begins before you even become one of our clients.

When receiving an enquiry about one of our services, after feeling a sense of anticipation and excitement about your upcoming wedding we will always ask to schedule a call/ meeting/ zoom consultation to chat further about your day, how we can help you, and answer any questions you may have.

Depending on the service you require we ask you a series of questions that help us gain an insight into the visions of your wedding. This ranges from how you want to feel on the day, the problems you need us to solve, what makes you unique, your wedding priorities, and we tease a little of the style and design you may have already considered.

Because when I collaborate with my couples it's never about me taking over the planning, the bespoke proposal that you receive after our consultation is there to demonstrate that we understand your vision, wish to celebrate your individualities, and gives a small insight into how we can elevate your wedding experience and allow you to indulge in the possibilities.

Every couple is different, so we always provide a tailored breakdown of our service that explains how we plan and is unique to your occasion and planning needs. This is then reflected in our investment quote.

We feel it's so important to provide a detailed and stylish proposal to all our potential clients as we understand Investing in a wedding planner is a decision most couples discuss at length. Although there is no obligation to book us at the end of this process, all our potential couples are able to see the level of detail, service and commitment we love to provide all our clients with.

If you're considering appointing the services of a wedding planner or just want to chat with us about one of our services please get in touch via our website here we would love to hear from you!

As we all wait in anticipation for Boris' announcement on Monday I want to be as positive as possible, and sit here believing we will get some sort of roadmap as an industry and as human beings.

I don't know about you, but sometimes I feel like this has all gone on for so long I can't really remember what 'normal' is. Tomorrow I was meant to be jetting off to Barbados, (I know... gutted), but actually, any holiday I have ever been on, any huge event I have ever been too, or party I have ever danced at feels like this amazing dream from another lifetime.

That being said, the feeling of hope is really starting to fill me up at the moment, and I have started to get a twinge of excitement at the thought of being able to do the job that I love again, be sat at a table surrounded by all my family, hug to greet people and eventually ditch the masks for a red lip.

What are you all looking forward to the most?!

Your wedding budget is certainly one of the most unenjoyable parts of planning your wedding, but I cannot emphasize enough how having this conversation as early in the process as possible will only help planning become a lot less stressful, and allow you to feel more in control!

Without having a set budget you're planning blind, and delving into the plethora of talented suppliers, gorgeous products, venues, and delicious catering the wedding industry has to offer without any idea of what you can spend beforehand, will only leave you feeling utterly disappointed, gutted, and upset if you don't have a budget set.

1. Who Is Paying For Your Wedding?
Firstly you need to establish who is going to be contributing to your wedding (parents, and or relatives), and if so how much?
Before accepting any contributions to your day, it is a good idea to have a frank conversation with any parties and establish if they want any involvement in the planning of the day, as you will need to take this into consideration.

2. Think Of An Ideal Date!
You may already have a special date in mind, but if you aren't sure when you would like to get married consider your favourite season. Its good to know that peak wedding season is May-August so venues and suppliers charge a higher price during these times!

3. How much can you save?
How much do you already have put away for your big day, and how much can you realistically look to save whilst planning towards your ideal month and year of the wedding? It's also a good idea to set up a wedding bank account and get all your contributions and current savings transferred at the beginning of the planning process.

4. Guest List!
Getting together a first draft of your guest list is a great way to understand if your budget is realistic, and also can help to determine how much you might actually need in the first place, as numbers will impact on your required budget the most significantly.

If you need help with the allocation of your wedding budget our Partial Panning Services can help you decipher your funds into sections so you know and understand exactly what can be spent where!

'The stories we love best live with us forever' JK.Rowling

The curation and design of your wedding experience derives from 2 people, 2 individuals who each own their own unique story, from where they grew up, to defining moments in their own lives, or special places and people that feature within them.

Collectively as a couple, you have your own unique love story, your own stories of memories you made together, experiences you have had filled with all the new people you have met, and the old ones you have brought with you on the journey.

In order to curate a personalised wedding design and sentimental experience that relates to and seduces everyone present its important to draw upon those stories that define you as individuals and as a couple, and weave them throughout your wedding day.

By helping you unlock these stories and delving into more than what you purely envision your wedding to be, we can help you plan an occasion that becomes its own book with you as individuals cohesively woven into every aspect of your day, curating an experience that evokes a rollercoaster of emotions and makes memories that you and your guests will want to relive again and again.

Start to build your wedding story now...

08/02/2021

Lot's of you will be looking to choose your wedding venue in the next few months, and as your venue contributes to the largest investment (usually around 30% of your total budget) its important to consider this decision carefully!

1. Budget, yes this is the most monotonous thing to be thinking about when all you want to be doing is delving into your dream wedding venue with total excitement. However, you need to look into venues that you can afford as trust us there is no point in viewing beautiful place’s way out of your price range, you're only going to torture yourself!

2. Be honest with yourself. Can you see beautiful photo opportunities within your venue? Hidden textures, areas to go and have a quiet moment with your new life partner? Is there styling potential, and will your dream colour scheme incorporate into the walls of your wedding venue? Most of all, can you imagine your whole day here, and does it feel amazing when you envision it?!

3. Logistics. If your venue fits perfectly at face value remember to delve deeper into what they will actually provide on your day and how everything is going to operate. Consider the food and drink does this meet your requirements? How far away is it from any guest accommodation? Do they have a late licence? What parking is available for suppliers & guests? Staffing and service, how will they staff your event & serve your guests? etc etc

Some of our clients come to us with an incredible venue in mind and it's our job to really research into its capabilities and operations in order to get the most out of its potential for your day. However, if you're struggling with finding your venue we can help you conduct an expert venue search, researching venues that relate to your style, location, and budget. Then we will schedule and attend all the site visits alongside you where we ask all the relevant questions relating to the venue’s capabilities, logistics, and take detailed notes.

It seemed very appropriate to feature the beautiful Norwood Park shot by Jo Greenfield : Photographer as I’ve walked past this beautiful venue every weekend in lockdown! Hopefully, soon I can walk past a real wedding.

06/02/2021

Your wedding day is never and should never be determined by a schedule, and the best events we attend are the ones where exactly what we wish was happening begins to happen, this comes from being managed and adapted as they happen.

Even as a professional planner, when it comes to my own wedding, hiring 'On The Day Support' will be a total non-negotiable. It would be impossible to relax on my day without having someone with an in-depth knowledge of my vision, the ability to read the crowd, adapt to the atmosphere, and go above and beyond to help my guests there.

Who authorises for the entertainment to begin early because the speeches were shorter than expected, and now the atmosphere is dying? Who lets the venue manager know that you're on your way from the ceremony? Who brings over your evening outfit to the reception? Who knows exactly how you want your venue setting up, and is on hand to help coordinate all your suppliers on the morning of your wedding and the day after? Who collects and brings any decor from the ceremony location to be set up at the reception? Who will drive back to the hotel to collect your mother's handbag because she has left it in the foyer? Who gives your photographer a nudge that something exciting is going to happen that they need to capture?

You may feel like it’s manageable and that everyone will 'chip in', or that your venue will solely organise everything on your day. But do you really want your family and guests to have things to do outside the venues realm, or enjoy their time with you?

Our experience in running weddings and high-profile venues means no problem phases us and there is nothing that cannot be discreetly solved. We will delve into your entire day up to one month before your wedding, help you tie your plan together in the final stages, and ensure that we know and understand your entire vision as if we had been planning alongside you from the beginning!

03/01/2021

As a business owner its important at the start of each year to write down a set of goals you wish to achieve in the next 12 months. As an experienced planner, with a relatively new business, there are just SO many stunning and incredible venues in the UK that I would LOVE to work with, style and sew a couples love story into! I dream to do, and have been so excited over the last month or so mood boarding some potential styled shoots and chatting with clients about some of these beautiful British Gems. Because I can only take on a limited number of clients each year I certainly won't be able to plan a day in all of these in 2021 (although after this year I certainly want to!), but I would love to have these venues in the pipeline and as it was too hard to pick my top 5, I went with all 10!

If you aren't aware of these stunning UK City & Country Venues or have just recently got engaged and are starting your search, this is a must see.

1. The Old Vicarage Boutique Wedding Venue
2. Middleton Lodge Estate
3. Euridge Manor
4. Iscoyd Park
5. The Ned London
6. Aswarby Rectory
7. Wilderness Reserve
8. Millbridge Court
9. Babington House
10. Norwood Park

If any couples or suppliers out there are in love with one of these as much as me, get in touch, let's collaborate, and watch the magic happen! (Couples I am offering a discount for helping me tick one of these off my bucket list!)

There are so many incredible luxury country and city wedding venues in the UK that I would LOVE to work with, style and sew a couples love story into!
