Silan & Sam

My second wedding in London this year and it was all kinda of incredible!

Sam was already at Pembroke Lodge when I arrived and was busy putting the finishing touches to the decor, whilst the team from Jessica Eliza Flowers were busy setting up the ceremony space with the most amazing and unusual florals.

As the guests arrived, the excitement was infectious and it wasn’t long before Silan and her mother joined and the wedding day could begin! Silas looked absolutely stunning and took Sam’s breath away as she walked down the aisle. Their ceremony was beautifully led and it wasn’t long before they headed back down the aisle together as husband and wife.

Out on the terrace, over looking the edge of Richmond Park and the Thames Valley the guests enjoyed their drinks reception as I began to capture several formal groups. As we could see the rain was heading our way, Silan and Sam ducked away from their family and friends to join me for some quick portraits and they were so wonderful to capture.

Returning to the venue, we rejoined the rest of the guests inside ready for their wedding breakfast and the sun returned to light up the room and act as the perfect backdrop for some emotional and hilarious speeches. It’s tough to get the blend of personal tales and comical moments right, but all of the speeches were fantastic.

Los Amigos Band kicked off the evening with the couple taking their first dance to some energetic live music and the party just kept getting better as the dance floor was quickly filled with everyone enjoying themselves and it really was one of the best atmospheres I’ve experienced for an evening reception. When the band finished their set and the DJ took over, not one person moved away and the celebrations continued long into the night - I didn’t want to leave!

I was made to feel so welcome and part of the day and I can’t thank everyone enough.

Congratulations Silan & Sam!

Style it out.

Last weekend, I had the pleasure of capturing a shoot put together by Nina from The Wedding House. She reached out towards the end of last year to ask if I would like to come along and photograph the shoot and, having not done anything like this before myself, I decided to say yes!

Nina had pulled together some great people for this project, including the couple Kim and Marco, who'd not modelled before - you'd have never known though as they were both brilliant.

The first look utilised the Drawing Room for our ceremony and was filled with flowers and candles galore, we were blessed with some beautiful winter sunlight, before moving to the Georgian Reception room to show off the styled table settings.

The second look involved a dress change for both and featured the champagne tower, which looked amazing.

A massive thanks to Nina for getting me involved and to all of the team involved - I think we smashed it.

It's not just the girls who have their moments captured in the morning, the guys get their turn too!

Usually, there are a few more nerves this side for us to capture, but once surrounded by their mates, the banter and laughing quickly follows.

Getting ready can be all kinds of fun - spending time with your closest friends and family, sharing the nerves and excitement and getting to finally show off that dress!!

I love capturing those impromptu moments, the spontaneous singing and dancing, the stunned bridesmaids and proud parents.

Eleanor & Corey

I can't believe it's been almost six months since this amazing couple tied the knot! But looking back to the summer isn't the worst thing right now.

Eleanor and the girls enjoyed the perfect start to the day, relaxing in the Dressing Room at Caswell House as hair and makeup were completed to perfect by

Corey and the boys were at the other end of the venue, enjoying a drink after getting their suits on, before heading inside to welcome guests and await the bride.

Eleanor walked up the aisle with her father and absolutely blew everyone away in a stunning dress from

Following their beautiful ceremony, everyone headed outside to enjoy the sunshine, throw confetti and grab a beverage. We took the couple for a walk around the fantastic private gardens just before the wedding breakfast and from then on, it was celebration time!

The evening reception was amazing, with music from and we even got outside for a few around the fairy lit gazebo before Eleanor headed back in for a dance with her father.

Congratulations again to Mr & Mrs Lawes!

Hannah & James!

For my final wedding of 2023, it was a special one. Having photographed Hannah's sisters' wedding back in 2018, I knew that the family were going to be planning to celebrate in style and that, they certainly did!

Preparation began at Hannah's childhood home and it was the perfect place for everyone to get ready; Hannah's father (with the help of his granddaughter), was on hand with a breakfast to set them all up for the day and with the hair and makeup teams rallying around, everything went even better than the plan. Hannah and the girls were ready and in their dresses well before time, making it one of the few weddings this year that I've had time to spend taking some family and bridal party group photos, before we headed to the church.

Hannah and James were married at the gorgeous church of St Vincent de Paul in Altrincham in a beautiful ceremony and headed out to greet their guests and be showered in confetti before hopping in the car and heading to their reception venue.

Owen House Wedding Barn is a stunning venue with the styling and attention to detail, giving the guests the most amazing backdrop to enjoy the rest of the day and evening. On arrival, we headed straight to the orchard to get a few snaps with the couple before the winter sun disappeared, then went back in to enjoy the food and speeches - all of them were amazing, emotional and heartfelt.

Following the wedding breakfast, we were giving the opportunity to shoot in the studio at Owen Barn, a private area with a smoke machine, fairy lights and even a huge glitterball - despite the cold, Hannah and James braved it and we got some fabulous shots before grabbing some sparklers, then dancing the night away.

It was the perfect way to sign off for 2023 for me - but an even better occasion for the couple, their friends and family.

Congratulations Mr and Mrs Kean!

Hollie & Ryan tied the knot on Halloween and truly embraced the pumpkin vibes!

The backdrop was The Moat House in Acton Trussell, on a crisp and bright autumn day - Hollie, her mum and Maid of Honour prepared at the venue with their Hair & MUA, Hayley Marie who did a wonderful job; Ryan and the groomsmen got ready at home before heading over to greet guests and check things over.

The venue was wonderfully styled by the team from Bespoke Creations, and the inclusion of the pumpkins really did set the tone. Once in her dress, Hollie blew everyone away - starting with her father as she came down the staircase, setting him off with tears of joy. Ryan was next up with the waterworks as his bride walked the aisle and following a lovely ceremony filled with giggles and emotion, they celebrated with their guests and a special appearance from their fur baby, who came down to say hello.

We headed off for some couple portraits and with the guests looking on (and cheering), the newly weds braved the boat and had a little row on the pond, before heading back inside for their wedding breakfast. Following some fantastic speeches, the couple were ready to get the evening started and once we'd had a sparkler entrance and cake cut, the couple danced the night away to music from TCK Entertainment.

A huge congratulations to Hollie & Ryan!

Jack and Rachel had a beautiful wedding at Rhinefield House in the New Forest, with a wonderful autumnal theme. The venue provided a stunning backdrop for their special day, especially with the fall foliage adding to the natural charm of the surroundings.

Spires Lonton Weddings and Corbins Florist did a fantastic job bringing the autumnal theme to life, incorporating the seasonal colors and even pumpkins to enhance the atmosphere.

Jack was looking dapper in a black tie and enjoyed a whiskey with his groomsmen, and Rachel was stunning in her intricately detailed dress and she really did take Jack's breath away as she walked up the aisle.

We made the most of the dry spells that we were afforded, and managed to grab some shots outside just before the wedding breakfast and everyone went on to enjoy an incredible feast. As the evening drew in, the couple kicked off the dancing with a first dance complete with indoor sparklers and we even managed to step outside in the evening air to grab a shot by the most autumnal tree on the estate.

Emily & Hannah

Where do I even start with this incredible couple? Before their wedding day we had an engagement session on the beach in Devon and I got to view their venue too - the amazing Beaconside House and I was so impressed.

Most of their guests were staying onsite in the many rooms in the main house and the wonderful woodland lodges dotted around the estate, so when it came to the morning, it was about as laid back and relaxed as it could have been. Both girls were excited and showing a few nerves, but their bridal party were absolutely loving it and their enthusiasm just felt so infectious that everyone was laughing and on a complete high.

A beautiful ceremony followed and, with help from Fred the Hawk (a late replacement for the injured Barn Own), the rings were delivered and the couple were married!

Drinks were flowing and the guests enjoyed the reception in the sunshine; the speeches were incredible. Each one was filled with emotion, so much joy and a LOT of funny tales which brought the house down. A little practice dance in the driveway as the sunset gave the newlyweds the perfect start to the evening as they hit the dancefloor and had the most amazing party.

A huge congratulations to Emily & Hannah!

Also a thanks to for her help on the day!

Engagement Sessions

Getting to meet couples ahead of their wedding day is always something I enjoy. There are a number of reasons why it's a good idea:

• Calming the nerves - very often, this will be the first time a professional photographer has taken photos of you as a couple, and that can seem pretty daunting. This time is amazing to realise that it's not this scary monster you've imagined and it's actually pretty good fun!

• Gives you confidence - once you start to relax and go with the flow and trust your photographer, you will find you start to feel more empowered and the results always surprise those who worry most. When you receive images you love, you understand that those years of phone selfies don't always show you at your best!

• Helps you get to know your photographer - one thing I like to ensure is that the couple are happy with me, after all I will be with them on one of the most important days together and knowing that they won't be micro-managed and posed all day is pretty important.

• Gives you great photos - hopefully this is the result and those images can be used for anything from you latest phone wallpaper to stationery for your wedding day itself

I love meeting my couples and hanging out - even more so if they have a location in mind; I've been up hills in the Peak District, beaches in Devon, various woodland areas and parks and even people's back gardens! It is always great to get out and about and just taking the time to explore, it gives us time to discuss your wedding plans and very often fires up the excitement for the big day.

Emily & Liam

This was a wedding I was really looking forward to as I felt like part of the guest list for this one! Having photographed a couple of weddings that Emily had attended, it was like catching up with old friends and they enjoyed another stunning day.

It was my first visit to the Clock Barn in Whitchurch and it was a gorgeous venue to capture; bridal prep was in a nearby barn and offered the girls plenty of space and the hair and makeup artists had light and room to manoeuvre. On the flip side, Liam and the boys got ready within the main barn building and managed to grab a couple of beers and a few games of corn hole before greeting guests and feeling the nerves.

Emily looked stunning and took the breath away from pretty much everyone at first sight - he father and bridesmaids enjoyed a first look and when she walked the aisle, absolutely floored her husband. The couple giggled their way through the ceremony after Liam was a little eager to start the 'I dos' and much laughter followed; once the vows were exchanged, rings placed and paperwork signed, they were more than ready for a drink and get celebrating.

Their family and friends all really enjoyed the reception, and some of the funniest speeches were delivered, leaving Liam with his head in his hands and Emily in stitches. Joining them on the dancefloor was their daughter, who was a superstar all day and they danced long into the night.

Congratulations Emily & Liam!

Love in the Cotswolds for Emma and Chris as they became husband and wife at St Mary's in Bampton before heading back to to celebrate with their guests.

During a mini-heatwave at the beginning of September, the couple enjoyed a glorious day with their family and friends and it really was incredible. Emma looked incredible, opting for a dress with stunning sleeves and Chris certainly looked the part in a very dashing green three-piece suit courtesy of

The newlyweds were in the mood to celebrate and as they entered the room for their wedding breakfast, everyone was on their feet, napkins twirling and a rowdy atmosphere which continued late into the night. In a final little surprise, Chris presented Emma with a personalised pizza cutter and they had a first-cut before returning to rip up the dancefloor!

Bryony & Ben

October started with a bang and also featured a wedding that the was closest to home I've ever had!

A couple of miles from me is the stunning Ingestre Estate including the stables and the wedding venue, Ingestre Orangery. The Orangery is beautiful and nestled in amongst some wonderfully maintained gardens making it the perfect setting for a sunny autumn day.

Bryony and the girls prepared at the lodges within the main Ingestre Stables building and it was a huge space for them to prepare in. Bryony looked beautiful in her dress and the reaction of her bridesmaids when she walked out to them said it all. Ben and the guys arrived at the venue ready to go and, once a few nerves were shaken off, proceeded to greet and seat guests for the wedding.

Jodie the Boho Celebrant took control of the ceremony and really did create a wonderful occasion that had the perfect mix of laughter, heart-warming tales and moments to treasure. Following their vows, the newlyweds took the party outside and enjoyed the warm sunshine as they were joined by the string-trio who provided some wonderful music to relax and enjoy a drink to.

The couple danced into their wedding breakfast and enjoyed their first meal as husband and wife before some fantastic speeches from everyone involved - with Ben's brother delivering some really emotional stuff!

Once the tables were cleared away, the evening began and with some really incredible music courtesy of , the guests really enjoyed themselves. There were singing battles, some brilliant dancing and even the groom performing the worm (at least twice) before took over.

It was so much fun to capture and I'm so pleased for Bryony & Ben - congratulations!!

Also, shout out to .s.visuals who did the videography!

Love is in the air.

The end of July I got the chance to catch up with Jack and Rachel ahead of their wedding next month.

They suggested the Botanical Gardens in Oxford and what a setting! The weather was a little unpredictable, but it meant that we got a lot of freedom and not too many people to avoid.

Jack and Rachel were amazing, they went along with so many of my suggestions and laughed all through the session. It was only at the end that Rachel revealed it was actually her birthday too - not a bad way to celebrate!

I can't wait to meet up with them for their next special occasion...

A Royale Wedding.

Steph and Martin's day had just about everything as they recently got married and celebrated at the Royale Forest in Burton.

Their church ceremony was wonderful and featured lots of joy and laughter. Once the guests arrived at the reception venue, they were treated to fresh Cornich Pasties to go with their welcome drinks before being entertained by the bridal party's entrance.

As bridesmaids and groomsmen coupled up to dance down the confetti line, we even had a surprise clothing swap!

The afternoon included axe throwing (after a viking had stormed the tipi) a selection of garden games and then one hell of a party.

There's so much to share, but here's a glimpse for now.

Sunday Sunshine.

It's been a brilliant and busy few months, so when Robyn and Josh mentioned having their engagement session in the Peak District, I jumped at the chance.

Taking a hike and exploring the views from Bamford Edge, we had a great time. With their wedding next month, it was great to catch up and get to know each other and I absolutely love these images. In fact, the whole gallery is something I'm pretty proud of (there might be a few more images shared in stories).

Earlier this month I was lucky enough to capture the wedding of this wonderful couple at Caswell House in Oxfordshire.

Despite an unpredictable forecast and a registrar who wasn't convinced the ceremony would be dry, they managed to have their ceremony outside and certainly made the most of the venue.

They had an amazing time and we even got a wonderful sunset to take a walk during golden hour, before letting everyone celebrate as the dancing started.

Over in a blur.

With all the build-up to such an incredible day, it's important to have moments and take time to enjoy it all. Before you know it, you are having your last dance of the evening and saying goodbye to guests.

Bath and Alex enjoyed a wonderful day at Shustoke Barn on Sunday and it really was a pleasure to capture.

Following their incredible day on Saturday, I couldn't help but edit a couple of quick images from the tail end of the day.

Jess and Max were a dream to work with and I absolutely loved photographing their day. Morning preparations were done at their respective parent's homes and it made for a relaxed and fun morning.

Following their church wedding they held their reception at MerrisCourt near Chipping Norton and it was fantastic.

After their first dance and a general bit of partying, we headed outside to catch the sunset and I loved so many of the images.

Sophie & James

Last week I had the complete honour to capture the wedding of this wonderful couple. They got ready together at their stunning home watched by their adorable beagles - and they were both so relaxed and excited to finally tie the knot. The had their ceremony at Lichfield Registry Office with a small gathering of close family and friends and we took a stroll to get a few photos before they headed off to get a bite to eat and celebrate back at home in the evening.

Sophie and James really care about the details and they put so much into everything they do (as you will see if you follow their home account), so being able to capture the build up in the right way, was important and I felt really lucky to get to be a part of their day.

Congratulations Sophie & James!!
