When planning your wedding and keeping budget in mind, you need to prioritise the elements that matter most to you. For me, flowers were a key feature of my wedding back in June. It was important to me to have the look and feel of an English country garden, with abundant British blooms and plenty of whimsical greenery. Not only did we have gorgeously natural bouquets, but also dancing stems in bud vases on the tables, we used them in the bridesmaids’ and flower girls’ hair, we had an incredible “growing arch” which seemed to grow from the ground up around the church porch, fabulous urns and windowsill arrangements in the church, and finally they framed the entrance to the barn and created dramatic floral chandeliers that hung from the ceiling

As the bride, that final hour or so before you leave for the wedding ceremony flies past at the speed of light. I felt such a sense of calm and peace throughout the entire morning of my wedding day, it was such a special moment in time to share with my brilliant bridesmaids and family. If there is one piece of advice I would pass on to all brides, it’s to make sure you take a deep breath and enjoy every single second of the getting ready…it was an experience I’ll treasure forever 🤍

My dresses were EVERYTHING to me 🤍
For as long as I can remember I have dreamed of walking down the aisle in a dress with a beautiful big, full skirt and a looooong train, so when I found the dress of my dreams at everything I had ever imagined suddenly became a reality.
I had never pictured myself in a second dress for the evening because I had always just pinned all of my hopes on my one perfect dress, but I just couldn’t help myself when I tried on the most beautiful, floaty tulle dress with that incredible sparkly waistband…it just had to be the dress that I would dance the night away in…and my goodness did I do just that! ✨

I’ve been rather quiet on here recently because I’ve been getting married! And it’s so exciting as we’re now getting to relive the whole day all over again with all of our photos that are coming back courtesy of the fabulous as well as our wonderful wedding film by 🥰
I just so loved the whole process of planning our wedding, it was delayed by a year because of covid like so many others, but my god was it SO worth the wait…there was something truly special about having had 2 and a half years to plan every little detail and anticipate the magic, and when the day finally came around it was just beyond our wildest dreams 💖 thanks to some of the best suppliers in the business.
I’ll be sharing more of our wedding over the coming weeks and will be sure to tag all of the amazingly talented wedding wizards that helped to make our wedding dreams come true ✨

Micro-weddings and intimate wedding receptions are definitely something that we’ve all had to get our heads around over the last year. I wonder, with restrictions (hopefully 🤞🏻) lifting completely in the not-too-distant future, will we still see so many small weddings happening now that they’ve been proven to be equally as magical and special as big weddings? I hope so 😊

I really loved creating this look at the venue where I am 🌺 it’s a beautiful venue with so much space, so it can be difficult to imagine it being the right kind of space for smaller, more intimate weddings and parties. That’s why I decided to keep things simple and fresh - less is more after all!

I just LOVE this time of year for flowers 🌺
All the blossom and the tulips...so rich in colour and texture! I’m no florist and frankly am far happier leaving it to the professionals, but I’m not one to shy away from a challenge (in fact, I absolutely thrive on a challenge!) and last weekend we had a little last-minute at and I did the flowers 😬🙈 the aim was to show off the space as a venue for or or

We foraged cherry blossom from the garden and bought some fabulous tulips, along with other lovely greenery. Though I say so myself, I’m actually delighted with how they turned out 😊 fear not though professional florists, I’m not going to be joining your ranks any time soon - hats off to you wonderful people, flowers are HARD WORK!
