I’m really looking forward to travelling over to the Lake District to officiate an intimate wedding ceremony at Broadoaks Country House in Windermere. The Orangery is simply stunning! It’s the perfect wedding ceremony setting, offering a unique combination of elegance, romance, and natural beauty. The glass walls not only bring the outdoors in but also allow the ceremony to feel immersed in nature, with the changing light and autumnal scenery enhancing the magical mood – it will be awesome!

Planning your wedding? Would you consider a ‘weekday’ wedding?
I’ve got two of them (Wed & Thurs) coming up in October, so thought I’d share the benefits of this option with you.

They became popular during the pandemic when there were a serious backlog of weddings to get through. There are lots of advantages to having your big day on a weekday.

*Greater availability of suppliers 📸💐
*Guests can make it (thanks to school holidays and flexible working -( providing you get a ‘save the date’ text out to them in good time) 👧🧒👯‍♀👴

As an independent celebrant, I’m all for weekday weddings - long may they continue!

Remember with a celebrant-led ceremony you have the freedom choose where to have your ceremony - be it on the beach, in a garden, sporting venue (providing you do the legals by registering your marriage beforehand at a Registry office). 🏡🏖🏏

What an absolute pleasure it was to create a bespoke Naming Ceremony for Jake & Lauren’s beautiful baby girl.
The ceremony involved telling baby Maisie’s story so far, parental promises to her, followed by guide parents making promises of how they intend to support her throughout her life.
She was mesmerised by my voice and smiled at me the whole way through. Lots of positive praise came my way.

“We couldn’t be happier with our decision to work with Angela as our Celebrant.
We spoke to three celebrants when deciding what to do, all of whom had their own unique style and personality. However, Angela immediately left a warm impression on us, and we knew that we would feel at ease and comfortable with her leading our special ceremony.
From start to finish, she was generous with her time, open minded, and full of brilliant suggestions.
We filled out a comprehensive survey (in addition to a few meetings) and Angela used this to weave together a beautiful story about us.
We had the opportunity to make edits, select readings, and even introduce some quirky elements like a ring warming and Celtic knot tying elements.
The ceremony felt so comfortable, and we were completely at ease with Angela by our side.
We absolutely loved the ending to the ceremony – with Angela handing out these beautiful bells that everybody rang for us. She even left us one in our gift box as a surprise!
To anyone thinking about Celebrant led service, I honestly couldn’t recommend it enough. We were nervous about registering our wedding separately, but actually ended up having two very special days (registry in the week, ceremony at the weekend), both of which were amazing in different ways.

I’ve had the great pleasure of visiting an awesome wedding venue – The Manor House Hotel and Spa in the beautiful village of West Auckland, Co Durham.

This 12th Century Manor House, which is steeped in history, just oozes charm and sophistication from every corner.
The owners have sympathetically restored the guest rooms and Spa to an exceptionally high standard and renovated the King’s Hall to become the most splendid wedding ceremony space.

As I'm busy script writing today, I thought I'd share this lovely example of how wedding celebrants really do their utmost to ensure that a ceremony is personalised to the couple...

I know that not everyone wants to include religion but for those who do - this is another example of something that you can’t get from a registrar- led ceremony.

The Cord of three Strands:
Each strand has a significant meaning. The gold strand represents God and His majesty. The purple strand represents the groom and his life. The white strand represents the bride and her life.
In braiding the three strands together as part of their ceremony, the couple show that their marriage is more than a joining of two lives together. It is a unity with God as well. The couple say their vows with the chords wrapped around their joined hands.
👌 perfect.
I cannot wait to deliver this ceremony in June!
