What an absolutely stunning set by teen band Losa UK at The Severn’s Club - Stourport-on-Severn as part of Feelgood Friday last night ! These lads really are "up there" and unlike other bands doing covers, when vocalist Luke delivers a Bowie track, he delivers it as Bowie ! Quite sensational. Mark my words, before long, these guys will be regulars on the circuit, not just in Stourport, but further afield for certain. On behalf of everybody attending last night, thank you .. and good luck for the future.

Also, a massive well done and thank you to Jack n Doris , our second act who were equally brilliant. If you missed them and are in town tomorrow evening, you can go see and HEAR for yourselves. The extremely talented husband and wife duo are appearing at The Black Star from 6.30pm ! Trust me, you won't be disappointed !

FEELGOOD FRIDAY: FIND THE SEVEN OF CLUBS

The 7 of clubs is still at large ! For that matter, so are a fair few of the cards that qualify for a cash consolation prize of up to £40 ! Tickets to enter the competition cost just £1 and are available to members/non members from 5.49pm. Listen out for the siren that signifies the draw. It's extremely pleasing to receive so many messages enquiring about this week's Feelgood Friday at The Severn’s Club - Stourport-on-Severn. I'll post the full schedule tomorrow, but in short 5.30 warm up > 7.30 commencement of games > 8.30 first live act Losa UK> 10.00 second live act Jack n Doris !

Amongst all of this, we'll have TWO opportunities to "Find the 7 of clubs", TWO rounds of Bottletop Bingo, Bits & Pieces and a FREE-TO-ENTER game of "Sticky 13". From a technical perspective, this promises to be our most ambitious if not challenging FF so far, so please be prepared to be blown away ! As always the goal is ENTERTAINMENT (with a few laughs thrown in) .. and with a teen band, the UK's No1 husband & wife duo .. and a Kn08head trying to stitch it all together, this promises be a quite a night !

HOW EXCITED AM I ABOUT FRIDAY ??? 😁😍🤩

Undoubtedly our most ambitious Feelgood Friday to date, this week we welcome up and coming band Losa UK to the Feelgood Friday stage at The Severn’s Club - Stourport-on-Severn. Luke, George, Rueben & Max have been rapidly growing in popularity over recent times and it won't be long before they're regulars on the Midlands circuit. As usual, our backstage announcer will be spinning those Feelgood Friday hits from 5.30pm .. the £5.49 menu kicks in at 5.49pm .. and for those of you doing "early doors" there'll be the relatively unique opportunity to witness what goes on behind the scenes ahead of the band taking to the stage. Guitars, keyboard, the drum kit, microphones, mixers, amplifiers etc all have to be carted in and set up, and then sound-checked to ensure you guys get the best experience possible ! As for the rest of the night, we'll have all the usual games and malarky too PLUS the extremely established and much-loved local duo Jack n Doris providing our grand finale ! I simply can't wait for this one and guarantee that it's going to be a cracker ! Free entry / Non members welcome.

STOP STEALING MY IDEAS !!!! 🤬

Why is that whenever you come up with a new idea, there’s someone just waiting for the chance to pinch it ?
I wouldn’t mind, but we’ve only been running Feelgood Fridays for four weeks, yet here we go again, somebody thinking they can jump on the band wagon ! Well, at least you could introduce some proper USP's ! FREE ENTRY – so is ours, EVERY FRIDAY, so is ours, “ANDY UNIQUE” well, everything about ours is fairly unique (nobody else has a concrete mixer) and as for ROTATING DJs, have you seen me do a cartwheel ?

As I’m not a bitter person, I’ll wish you every success for your launch on Friday .. BUT DON’T EXPECT TO SEE ME !! WHAT A STICKY NIGHT THAT WAS !

Thanks to everybody who rocked-up to The Port House last night for what transpired to be an event that will be the topic of conversation for days to come. Thanks to Jeanie who dished out the Sticky 13 cards and dabbers and to Chloe Eileen, my all time favourite card shuffler ! I'd forgotten how engaging it can be having a human being doing the shuffling as these days I tend to use a mechanical device. Almost two hundred cards were dabbed, alas there could only be a couple of winners. Well done if that was you !
AND THEN CAME THE MAIN EVENT: STICKMAN STEVE doing his own STICKY 13. Twelve great songs delivered with amazing clarity, despite the mic being pointed in more directions than the absent stick. And then, the added unplanned bonus "Everything I do. I do it for you" where Sara joined Steve for a duet. Overall, a top performance and I'm sure it won't be long before Steve will be sticking it out for another opportunity! Expect the unexpected ..

CAN YOU STICK IT ?

Here is a photo containing many branches, twigs and STICKS ! The photo also shows an overly excited penguin, eagerly awaiting tonight's headline act at The Port House. Much has been said about hooded imposters climbing on roofs in recent days, however Feathers McGraw isn't out to cause distress, he's merely seeking a good vantage point to experience the debut set by STICKMAN STEVE. This photo, taken within close proximity of the venue was taken ten minutes ago, some four hours ahead of the event ! Are you coming to join him ?

In addition to this STICK-themed evening, we're playing a couple of free-to-enter games with fab prizes up for grabs. I bet you can guess what we're playing .. Yes, it just has to be STICKY 13 ! You've got to be in it to win it !

Despite having more apprehensions and reservations than you could shake a STICK at, I'm really looking forward to this one !

Another fabulous Feelgood Friday night at The Severn’s Club - Stourport-on-Severn as we welcomed Eve Christopher-Vickers as Amy Winehouse and local musician/vocalist Steve Low. Both sets were simply stunning and I hope and pray that both acts will agree to perform again later in the year. Next week promises to be equally spectacular as our line-up includes up & coming band Losa UK, AND the incredibly popular local duo Jack n Doris . We can't wait to see you guys !

In other news, the 7 of clubs remains at large .. as do several of the picture cards, aces and sevens. It's the competition with the biggest consolation prizes in town ! Nobody else offers up to £40 cash to a loser ! As for Bits & Pieces, nobody scored above 15 last night, so the leader board remains unchanged.

As we strive to offer something different every week, next week we're kicking things off with a free-to-enter game of Sticky 13 - Who'll be the first to shout "Stretch, I'm Sticky!" and win a fab prize ? - PLEASE JOIN US TO FIND OUT !

The Rose & Crown, The Cat & Fiddle, The Hope & Anchor, The Horn & Trumpet .. The Stickman & Stretch .. 🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾cue skid marks ..👀❓🤭❌☢️WHAT ??

No, your eyes are not deceiving you ! Stourport's worst kept secret is out there ! Social media sensation "Stickman Steve" will be abandoning his usual haunts this coming Saturday and performing a LIVE set for all to experience, INDOORS at The Port House !

To coincide with the opening weekend of Stourport's annual panto, an impromptu version of Feelgood Friday's "Pay the Tray" will feature extremely well-known Stourport icon "Stickman Steve" performing a set to raise a few quid in aid of the show's organisers Monday Night Group !

As usual, we push the boundaries. Never let the grass grow. Keep thinking outside of the box. Never let anybody accuse Stourport or any of its venues of being stuck in a rut. This is a first for me. This is a first for Steve. This is a first for Stourport.

Much has been written about Steve over recent times. Some good, some not so good. Observers of my social media output will know that I've never made a single comment about Steve, good or bad. You might ask why. Well, I'm simply not in a position to judge. Our paths have seldom crossed, mainly through my fear of being decapitated by his unique head gear. As I type this, I'm starting to fear for my lighting rig on Saturday. That said, I'm planning to engage local helipad expert Adam Kirkham to paint a huge yellow "H" on the Port House carpet, thus marking out a safe distance from me and the would-be rotating helicopter blade AKA tree trunk.

We're not going to state a time for this unexpected performance as much will depend on how we're all feeling on the night. Suffice to say, it will happen at some point during my DJ set between 7pm & midnight, once we get the go-ahead from on site security, crowd control personnel, Health & Safety advisors, the local horticultural society, St Johns Ambulance, Uber Eats, the current Mrs Stretch .. and Davenports Brewery.

This should be the spectacle to top all spectacles. If you can't make it, be sure to keep your phones handy. This performance could be the biggest global sensation our little town has ever known !

Retirement Day 19, and it's time to start ramping up my DJ activities. You've probably gathered that whilst continuing with my BRMG Radio shows, I'm now back on the club/pub circuit, generally aiming at loud boozy parties for 18-80yr olds. Taking "Back to the 80s" on the road is also on the agenda. However, I must not lose sight of the fact that I have an incredible talent in the kitchen. (Don't laugh, I don't make this stuff up!) As from today, I will be combining my culinary skills with my 43-odd years experience as an event host, and offering my services as a cookery demonstrator ! So, if you manage a deluxe kitchen showroom, a pub, a restaurant, a social club, or even a shabby guest house, and want to show your customers how to "Ready Steady Cook" .. I could be the next addition to your menu !
