HELP!!!!

I have a massive S-o-S we are desperately looking for an old iPhone for My son - who’s as most of you know is non verbal, low fiction with complex disabilities so doesn’t play or watch tv. Just loves his phone and iPad that’s all he likes. It can be very old and locked to any network. It doesn’t have to update as All he does is watch adverts on it. So all it needs to do is connect to the internet and charge. It doesn’t have to update or down load apps or make a call it just needs to switch on and stay on. That’s it.
He’s broke his tonight not only smashed the screen but it’s all gone green and it is his life line when we leave the house. Well In the house to. We have one but it keeps resetting self. So please if anyone has an old old iPhone or iPad say In A draw not being used that we can have I will happily pay for it. Swap it, even kiss your feet for it. (Well maybe not that one). But I’d be so grateful it will save me a life of hell believe me. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

Please share if you can we are that desperate

Day 4 of NFD
My favourite Flower day. I will tell you mine and why. Please tell my what your favourite flower is.

I have many favourites for different reasons. My favourite flower to have in a vase is a Agapanthus. I love to watch them grow to and was lucky enough to grow 3 different colours last year. White. Blue and one called firework a mix of white and blue. I have buds appearing on my plants again so I’m
Hopeful for another own grown display.

Another favourite is the humble poppy. Most of you will know I have this tattooed on my arm in memory of my Mom but also it brings back beautiful memories of my Granny to. I’d pick the first poppy on the way to her house and be so proud to give it to her. At the time I had no idea it would die quickly. Not a great cut flower but one to look at where ever it grows. My first day at school age 4 I was so excited to find my peg and draw by chance had a poppy photo on it. I remember thinking how lucky I was to have a poppy when all the others had dogs. Cats and bikes etc. My Mom loved anything with a poppy on it becuse she was born on Remembrance Sunday. So the poppy is my choice of flower for the memories.

I also love ;-
Eustoma becuse there beautiful
Chincherimchee for being different
stocks for there scent.
Daffodils for the simplicity.
Euringium for there long lasting
Roses for the beauty
Scabius for there look
Veronica for there daintiness
My list goes on. So You could say I just love flowers. lol.

My new found love of gardening over the last few years have added to my list I have to say.

On day 3 0f NFD is meet the team.
Well this won’t take long as it’s Me, Myself and I. lol…

So for those that don’t know the fave behind the flowers. This is me. Suzanne. Married Mum of 2 boys. Aunty to 7 and great aunty to 2 and God mother to 9 who I love dearly. So life is pretty busy especial as my oldest son is disabled and needs 24/7 care. But he’s happy (most of the time 🫣) what else can I tell you. I have one sister and 2 brothers. All older may I add and I’m a Birmingham City Fan for my sins. I do love a bit of football. We are a blues house and win. Loose or draw that won’t change. Oh for those laughing. We will be back.
So what do I lobe out side of work. Well Dr marten boots for a start. lol. My son calls me the flower Doc lol. I love to collect Russian dolls to. I have to say I have more pairs of Docs than I do sets of Russian dolls. Just. I have about 83 pairs to date. I think. 🤔 and I know I have 38 Russian dolls. I think I need more of both. lol. I also love to spend time with my friends they are so important to me they keep me sane even though we are all mad. I also like to raise money for my son’s respite unit, because they are just amazing and give us the much needed brake we need. Autism is a big part of my family’s life. It chose me With my son and my great nephew diagnosed with it as well as making many friends who’s children live with it to this has changed my life, I never expected to take this path but I do not regret it. It’s lead me to amazing people. Places and opens my eyes to wonderful kids that are still kids and still human and still want to live their life. It’s shown me how our society is not adapted to our kids and young adults with additional needs but it is getting better. Unlike the services open to us. Autism is the single handed reason I had to close my retail shop after 12 years of trading and open my home studio - I did it before it was trendy to do it. lol. I need to care for my son 24/7 and I couldn’t do that tied to a shop 9/5. It’s not affected my business of 23 years. I’d go as far as saying I’m busier now than Iv ever been. Flowers are my passion and Iv been in the business for over 32 years now (I started young). It’s what keeps me focused and it is the therapy I get paid for. For this I’m always grateful to my customers for their support. We don’t have fancy holidays. Or big days out because we can’t. We dont actually go out much as a family because my son can’t cope with it, so our home is not just my work place but its our sanctuary, our safe space and our nest and that really is my life in a nutshell.
It’s not for the faint hearted that much is true, but it’s for me. 💜

Hello. I’m taking part in the national florist day on the 8th of June when someone can win a beautiful arrangement from me. (See previous post)
As part of the celebration of flower magicians each day I’m going to bring you an insight into me, Windmill Wonderland and how it all started. Today let’s start at the beginning with how i became a florist by sheer accident…

So I need to take you back 32 years to when i was a 14 year old teenager who’s best friend a whole 13 months older than me had a job and I didn’t. So i decided one Saturday I would walk the length of our local high street in Stourport. Starting with the chip shops. Moving on to the Cafes. Arcade. Little shops. Green grocers. In door market stalls. Tesco and every shop in between asking if they had a Saturday job. All said no. To young. I needed to be 15 etc. the very last place I could try was a small garden center with a flower shop in there. I knew nothing about flowers and plants but casually asked. Have you any work on a Saturday please. The man said no but we do on a Sunday, do you want to
Start tomorrow. I stayed there 2 years working Saturdays and Sundays. Watering plants. Cleaning buckets. Cutting flowers. Walking deliveries all over town, making tea. Serving customers and all the jobs no one wanted to do. So to say I started at the bottom would be very true and to look back at me in my over size baggy jumper. Red hair and Dr marten boots I was the least likely person to work with flowers. But I loved it. My passion for flowers was born. It would be another few years before I went to college and got every qualification I could. But Iv never looked back. Maybe I will tell you all the next part of my story soon if anyone is Interested and how I opened my first shop age 23. But that’s for another day. Hope I haven’t bored you.
