Queen Elizabeth I is said to have twice visited Helmingham: first in 1561, and later to attend the christening of Lionel Tollemache as her godchild. Lional Tollemache marked the first of ten consecutive generations of the family with that name. We thank the Tollemache family for welcoming us into their gorgeous home.
The popular Illuminated Garden Trail starts soon, and the curated gardens, stunning architecture and traditional Church at the edge of the estate make for a special events venue.
