Slow on posting this week, the joys of half term 💰⏱️
But to make up for it here are #3 in one go!
#6 Be Transparent About Money from the Start – I see / hear about this A LOT during pre wedding calls with clients.
If family members are contributing, discuss expectations early to avoid misunderstandings later. Will it come with conditions? Is it a gift or a loan? Clear agreements reduce stress and improves family relationships.
#7 Block Out Decision-Making Time – Time literally runs away with you when working full time / managing a home / child care & wedding planning!
Allocate one or two evenings a week to focus on wedding planning, especially at the early stages when booking big things like venue, photography, entertainment - these services tend to book 18-24 months in advance. Then dress, flowers, video, hair, MUA, transport etc can be booked a little later. Though obviously the earlier you book all your suppliers, the far easier and relaxed it is and gives you more time to actually enjoy the build up to your day!.
#8 Clarify What’s Included with Your Venue – Some venues include catering, décor, and on the day coordination, while others are dry hire - which means you having to draft in or co-ordinate with individual suppliers, which can be time consuming and stressful (especially if you’re not a naturally organised couple or you are juggling lots of balls on your everyday life). Plus you may find that some items you no longer need to budget for (room decor, DJ, wedding co-ordination) so more money for your honeymoon ✈️🏝️
