The sun has set on ours Hen’s final night at Measham House Farm, but the music plays on… and in a giant gold cube!

Last weekend we partnered with .bolli_events and to host a festival themed hen do for 20 guests.

The styling and set up was 👌🏼and by all accounts the Hen’s had the most amazing time.

The event was hosted on our ‘Orchard Field’. A self contained paddock with electricity, fresh water and easy access. The paddock can cater to events from 20 - 75 people and makes the ideal party location.

Next stop for the weekend was Grace Dieu Priory and Woods for a family walk and picnic. With easy parking, well trodden pathways and cycle routes, this walk really delivered for us.

Just a short 15 minute drive from the farm and with plenty of routes to explore, we highly recommend this National Forest and National Cycle Network route.

This weekend we spent some time visiting local businesses and attractions to help build our bank of recommendations for our guests.

First stop was Melbourne, and to Tori and Ben’s Farm shop for a coffee. We found out about their business through the book , and we’re thrilled at the quality of their farm shop and friendly service.

Events are back!

Yesterday we hosted our first event of the year for 20 hens celebrating their dearest friend Ciara’s journey to get married at the end of June.

Using a stretch marquee and hiring our ‘Orchard Field’ the bridesmaids were able to organise the perfect intimate event, and the creativity was 👌🏼

The bride and bridesmaids stayed at to make the event even more special for their friend.

The rain poured for the first 2 hours but soon enough the sun broke through to deliver a beautiful afternoon and evening.

Bank holidaying! We’re out and about this weekend enjoying local shops and attractions re-opening. There are so many great walks in the The National Forest, and some of the best end up with a drink! The Milking Parlour at Tollgate Brewery is just a short drive from the farm and connects with a number of walking routes.

The National Forest is preparing for its 3 day forest festival Timber on the 2nd - 4th July. Are you planning to attend? Want to make a trip of it? Measham House Farm is just a 10 minute drive from the event and with only 20 pitches provides a peaceful spot for caravan and motor homes.

Today we finished an exciting new project. Working with The National Forest we’ve designed a new planting scheme that adds an additional 715 trees to the farm. The new trees create a new wildlife corridor and habitat using indigenous species including oak, hazel, scotch pines, cherry and silver birch.

We’re excited to watch the site grow and welcome wildlife in.

Snowy scenes here at Measham House this morning. My camera wasn’t quick enough to capture the partridge we disturbed as we walked in the Caravan field.

Despite the cold, the garden and site was alive with birds - mistle thrush, wren, robins and fieldfare all seen within moments of each other.
