Swindon Libraries & Information Service and Artsite & The Post Modern's annual Theatre Square Christmas Market is this Friday 24 November 🎅🎄☕🍰

Central Library and Artsite will be hosting:
• Market stalls selling gifts, art and crafts from local artists
• Gift-wrapping service from
• Pop up café with hot drinks, soup, and cakes
• Mulled wine and mince pies
• Central Library Shop
• Art raffle

Plus free:
• Live music - plus an open mic slot for music and spoken word
• Children’s Music Corner – with percussion, flute, keyboard, ukulele, guitars & more
• Children’s Creative workshop
• Visits from Santa (at 4pm & 5.30)

Fantastic evening at STEAM for the launch of Festival of Tomorrow ☀️🔭

Using data from NASA’s solar Dynamic Observatory, this stunning, rotating six-metre light installation - THE SUN - cycles through 10 weeks of the sun's life in 12 and a half minutes. Representing temperatures ranging from 4,500 to 10 million degrees, with smoke effects to mimic the outer atmosphere of our hottest, closest star.

Scale wise, the Earth is a squash ball against this Sun.

Truly awe inspiring.

Beautiful day for our Sounds Like Ukraine & Vadym Gurevych Swindon Ukraine Photography Exhibition fundraiser at Central Library!

Come and enjoy live music, photography exhibition, a pop up cafe, courtyard garden, lovely people, and help raise money for Ukraine.

Free entry with donations strongly encouraged. Every penny raised goes to charity.

If you're looking for a new family friendly hangout in town, Swindon Hub, Swindon's new community space is great!

On their ground floor, they've got this brilliant kids play area next to the cafe, so you can keep an eye on the little ones while you have a coffee.

There's loads going on there, including an Oasis exhibition at the mo, plus gigs and artist and craft stalls. Plus so many events and activities planned - including opportunities for the community to put on events and hire the space.

Give them a follow or pop in. Find them in town on The Parade, Swindon in the old River Island building.

And meet some of the story characters, including Lavender the Fairy and Simon the Dinosaur when they visit the town centre on Sunday for Swindon Town Centre Story Trail - Meet The Characters - see Sunday for more info 👇

Haydon Wick Council's day of family activities at Haydon Wick Skate Park Opening with music, food, skateboarding demos, graffiti and more.

Run away to CIRCUS BERLIN SWINDON at Westcott Place Recreation Ground - on until Mon 13th. Or run a bit further to see Tweedy the Clown & co at Giffords Circus The Hooley in Cirencester - on until Sun 12th.

Also out of town, there’s Cirencester Markets Farmers Market. Plus an extra Cirencester Twilight Market with street food, music and more. Over at Helen Browning's Royal Oak, it’s Eastbrook’s Grand Day Out with food, music, walks, wildlife and beautiful animals. And North Wiltshire’s Peacock Arts Trail 2021 flies again, from 11-19 September, with 70+ artists and craftspeople exhibiting and offering art and craft activities. And it’s the final day of An Elephant in The Garden, Barn Theatre's award-nominated family show.

Because Covid likes to keep us all on our toes we have had to move our session to being online as a member of the team has been pinged!
