💫 EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH 💫

This month we have our new Assistant Manager Caitlin presenting our newest chef Andrew a bottle of Balblair malt whisky, £50 and a lovely certificate for the fridge for being this month’s winner! 🤩

Why has Andrew won this month?

⭐️ Andrew started working with us during the summer season this year. Anyone within this industry will tell you it’s the most gruelling, exhausting time especially for the kitchen team and dealing with all of that on top of learning new equipment and getting to know a new team is very overwhelming but Andrew walked in a polite, kind and friendly man and he’s been the same way ever since!

⭐️ Andrew is first in in the morning, first in in the evening and often will wait until the very end to make sure the place is spotless before going home. He takes great pride in his work and it’s amazing having a chef walking in the door 15 minutes before his shift starts so he knows he’s organised and ready to go! There have been times Andrew’s nipped home for half an hour and has cut his split shift short so he has enough time to get himself sorted before a very busy night and it never goes unnoticed.

⭐️ Andrew is without a doubt the most positive, upbeat team member we’ve ever had. We have never ever seen Andrew have a bad day at work. He comes in with the same attitude day in, day out. He never says no, he never shows signs of stress, we hear constant giggling from the kitchen and it’s a joy to have such a positive influence in there. It radiates through the whole team.

⭐️ Andrew presents some beautiful looking dishes! One of the top dishes being his twist on a Baked Alaska - it went down a storm! It’s probably one of the most popular desserts we’ve had on the menu and it won’t be long before it’s back. He’s always trying to come up with new ideas and presenting different dishes and it’s lovely to see a chef making his own mark in a kitchen!

⭐️ Andrew overall has become a very much valued and important member of our team. He’s a very talented chef, he’s respectful and he’s a positive influence - what more would you want out of a team member? He’s patient with the whole team and he’s great at training our up and coming young chefs! Since Andrew starting, they’ve all come on leaps and bounds and we often hear him guiding them and showing them how to do certain things.

Thank you Andrew for all of your hard work this month and every month! It’s truly a joy to have you with us and your work ethic and positive attitude is something we could all learn from! 💪🏼🥃🎉

Due to popular demand we have decided to extend our Steak Night on to Friday night this week as well as our Thursday night! 🤩🙌🏼

Come down for a Steak Dinner before braving the cold to go and watch the Bonfire and Fireworks display this Friday! 🎆

We still have some spaces available for Thursday night however these are limited! 🥩

🎃 TONIGHTS THE NIGHT 🎃

Who’s joining us for our big Halloween extravaganza tonight!? 👻 The team are all raring to go and the place is looking spooky! 🧙‍♀️

We have LIVE MUSIC from Alice & The Coolers from 8:30pm tonight and we can’t see you all dressed up! 💃🏽

Before then, we’re open as usual with lunch being served between 12pm-2:30pm and back from 5:30pm-8pm! The bar is open all day long so no need to wait until 8:30 tonight! 🤪

💫 EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH 💫

This month we have our youngest employee, Rachael! Rachael is one of our amazing Front of House waiting staff. Rachael’s walking away with a Hamper full of goodies and £50! 🤩

Why has Rachael won this month?

⭐️ Rachael started with us at the start of our summer season and she came in with a bang! 💥 Starting any new job is daunting and it takes time to learn how different places work but Rachael picked it up like she’d been here for years! We could easily work the floor with Rachael as our right hand girl and it would be a breeze! We never really have to guide Rachael because she just knows what she’s doing!

⭐️ Rachael is still at school so she has a lot going on! Never has she come in late, complained about being tired (which she’d be very much entitled to do!) or asked to go home early. She comes to work in a great mood and leaves the same way and it’s really incredible to have someone so steady and reliable. Balancing school and work is not easy but Rachael makes it look like it is!

⭐️ Rachael is great with our customers and it’s been an absolute joy watching her progress and come out of her shell. She can do it all, she meets and greets, she sits customers down, she takes orders and she has no problems speaking with the chefs. Watching our young people grow in confidence is one of the best parts of the job and if this is where she’s at now, she’ll be a force to be reckoned with when she enters the workforce full-time (hopefully here 🤞🏼).

⭐️ Rachael is so respectful and polite to absolutely everyone. We work in a very stressful environment and Rachael takes it all in her stride and never wavers. She’s presented a professionalism that should take people years to develop and it’s been like that since day dot. She shows so much respect to the whole team and to all of our customers and she’s slotted in perfectly with the team. Everyone loves having her on board!

⭐️ Rachael overall has become a very important member of the team. When we look to busy months ahead like Christmas and next season, we know she’ll work hard, she’s reliable and she’s responsible. She’s become a core member of the team here and when she eventually decides to move on, there will be some very big shoes to fill!

Rachael is a very special young lady and if other young people are half as intelligent, respectful, hardworking and professional as she is, then there’s nothing to worry about in our next generation of leaders, creators and inventors! Well done Rachael, very well deserved! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

🎇 HOGMANAY 🎇

After such high demand last year, we have decided to host a New Years Bash to bring in the bells! 🔔

With a free glass of fizz on arrival, a 3-course meal from a set menu, music featuring all of the best chart-toppers through the decades and another glass of fizz to bring in 2025, we’re sure this is going to be one of the best parties yet! 🕺🏽💃🏽🪩

Dress up or dress down, everyone is invited to our NYE extravaganza we are ready to tear our way through the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s and more! 🥳

The evening meals will be served between 6pm-7:30pm so spaces are limited! If you’re not fast, you’re last! 💨

Please note, we will be allowing entry to everyone for drinks at the bar to bring in the bells! 🥂
