Our October Employee of the Month is being awarded to miss Evie who works out front! 👸🏻
Why has Evie won this month?
⭐️ Evie was one of the first front of house team members hired in the process of building our team here at The Castle. Evie from the very first shift just took to the job like a duck to water. Minimal training was necessary, she was just a natural! Since then, she’s conducted herself in a consistent, professional, friendly and confident manner. She’s always on time for work, she’s always great with our customers and she’s just all round everything you want in a team member.
⭐️ With Evie being one of the first hired, things were a bit all over the place. It’s difficult for fully grown adults to get to grips with a brand new workplace with a whole new team, but throw in being a lot younger than a lot of your colleagues, having school, homework and all of the extra curriculars thrown in, it can be a lot to keep up with. Evie has been patient, understanding, flexible, responsible, professional and has continuously shown great maturity.
⭐️ We’ve heard that Evie is a formidable football player, she’s still in school full-time, exam time is approaching, she’s got a lot of friends and yet she just makes life look easy. She’s pulled in a lot of different directions and never once have we heard a complaint from her. She maintains social life, work life, school life and everything else she has going on and she’s never let us down. She turns up to every shift and works her socks off. Our young people have so much going on and to see them displaying this level of commitment is really a testament to their discipline. It’s not easy giving up holidays and nights out with friends and concerts and all the fun things that go on but Evie has over and over again.
⭐️ Evie is a very friendly and confident girl. She carries herself very well and there’s no obvious nervousness when speaking to our customers which is something that can take a lot of people a long time to get to grips with. There’s a skill in being able to adapt to cater to the expectations of customers, some people like to chat and others don’t and Evie has such an awareness of what our customers are looking for. Our customers have a lot of time for Evie and we’ve had some lovely reports from them regarding Evie’s manner in managing their tables. That kind of social skill will take Evie so far in life no matter what she decides to do!
⭐️ Overall, Evie has solidified herself as a key member of the front of house team here. Shes welcoming, professional, responsible, friendly, confident. She’s reliable, hardworking, adaptable. If we were to write a job description for any other young people to join our front of house team, Evie is an exact example of what this industry needs. We are confident that Evie will excel in whatever she decides to do when she leaves school. Academics are so important but Evie naturally possesses social skills and life skills that take people a very long time to master and they will take her far!
Congratulations Evie, a very well deserved win, you should be so proud of yourself! 🥳🥳🥳
