Flower class today was the last one until September. Really enjoyed this summer design and so thrilled the only flowers I bought for this week were the roses everything else we have grown ☺️💐 Thank you Jo for a lovely block of classes and some beautiful arrangements. ☺️🌸

Are anyone else’s cosmos a little on the short side? Ours are 😬 not ideal but it doesn’t stop them looking beautiful in a little jam jar vase 💐 hopefully cutting these shorter stems will get them producing more flowers and hopefully longer stems too🤞

This weeks arrangement, what a clever idea to use a rafia placemat to give a basket effect. I really enjoyed making this and the only flower I bought was the roses the rest we grew ☺️🌼

It’s not all about pretty cut flowers, this week we’ve recycled some of the wood that was already on our patch and made a full blown composter. No stopping us now composting here we come 😁👍

A Lisianthus update, our little Lisianthus plants are ready to pot on. Hopefully being planted up into their bigger pots will spur them on, it’s taken a good while but they are coming along ☺️🪴☺️

Our second attempt this season at growing some zinnias… the first lot of seedlings were a feast for the slugs 😩 this time round they’re doing better and I really hope we get some lovely flowers 🤞

Last flower class before the half term holidays today and we finished this week with a beautiful country design. I really enjoyed making this in my Bee Beautiful jug container ☺️💐 Thanks Jo for all your help to make such beautiful arrangements. ☺️💐

Our Lisianthus seedlings were looking very sad in the seed tray, so thought we’d pot them up into little 6cm pots to see if that will spur them on…. If any growers have amy tips on growing Lisianthus please add a comment or drop us a message. Thank You ☺️💐

I’ve not posted any of these in a little while but I’m still very much loving my flower class. The last couple of classes have been a little different… I really enjoyed making this handbag 👜💐 and also including our own home grown tulips in a design too 🩷🌷

This is us…. Having had a few new followers recently we thought we should pop on and say Hello. So here we are the faces behind cabbage patch flowers.
We are Chris and Emily, husband and wife duo. Chris is a gardener by trade and loves the work he does and I just have a passion for flowers.

In 2022 we thought let’s grow some cut flowers, we started with three 3 metre x 1 metre beds in a little plot at the back of our house and we grew some beautiful blooms. For the 2023 season we extended our little patch taking over Chris’s grandads garden and despite the wet summer we had some wonderful flowers which we started to share with friends and family and also the local community.
With this in mind we started thinking we could make something of this, so made the decision and set our mind to flower farming. We know it will be hard work and it won’t be easy but we have the knowledge and the determination to give it a try.
In March we took on a plot of land, It is very overgrown and needs so much work but we are ready for it.
Please follow along with us on our journey, we are excited for what’s ahead.
We’d be so grateful if you could share our page for us too and help us gain some more followers so we can share our journey with them too and hopefully make a beautiful small business from the flowers we grow. ☺️💐

We have 2 bunches of mixed daffodils, A mix of yellow cheerfulness and champagne. if anyone local would like them £2 per bunch. A couple are partially open but still plenty of life in them. 🌼☺️

Today I tried my hand at an Easter door wreath. I really wasn’t sure when I started how this would turn out but I’m so happy with it and think it looks great on our front door ☺️

What a great experience the weekend was. Only last year we started growing cut flowers at the back of our house, so to have a stall to sell them is a huge achievement for us 💐 We’re hoping that next year we’ll be able to do a few more of these stalls like this and share our beautiful blooms with you all ☺️💐
