Design to decoration - 1 week!!!

HOW DID WE DO THIS?

With so much going on for my client during November we had the date booked but didn’t know what we were going to do until the very last minute. Her little girls birthday was 2 weeks before and a huge trip was planned for after.

After a few messages back and forth after the first birthday of November my client got to ordering her cut outs and I got work on the custom vinyl arch.
We finalised the colours and Tadaaaa! We pulled out the bag one of our favourites ever in just under a week of planning!

How can this be achieved?
With pure trust in each other, I trust my client, and she trusts me 💜 we work together on the day to make sure the display ends up absolutley perfect, we don’t stop until we are both happy 🥰
My client is a very creative momma and it’s always an absolute pleasure to work with her 🫶🏻 two creative minds create great things!

Our beautiful mosaic and bouquet package at its finest 💜

Going back to making these from home does have its challenges especially for the old knees!
At my unit I have strategically measured workbenches that are the perfect height to work from, to keep the back backin’! at home I had my kitchen table and living room floor again. But we got there!
With a super cute Marie theme 💜
Romey is just the dreamiest pink for this theme 💕

Working from home for a short while until my new little haven is ready 💜

I’ll be moving the business to silverdale village sometime in the new year. I’m looking forward to going back to my basics, Wynny will be in school (yay) so the Monday to Friday working hours can commence, knowing she will be safe in the most perfect setting for her!
I’m sooo ready for having set collection times again to keep things running smoothly for everyone. Andddd a boujieeee lil workspace that I want to be in!

Traumatic recap of 2024

Let’s talk about the year.
Not the year we had in mind.
It’s not been great, I’ve cried for most of it.

I’ll start from the top.
1. Wynny our 5 year old had to stop attending nursery in February. With no school place she had to stay at home with us full time. Gary had to quit work to support us in the home whilst I continued to work. Wynny is diagnosed ASD and requires high level support at home.
2. My brother wants to move back from overseas and he needs his house back 😢 house hunting we go!
3. Kaitlyn our eldest daughter is diagnosed with Leukaemia 💔 we are all Absolutley devestated and our whole world is turned upside down.
4. Wynny still has no school place and I’m fighting day in day out to get her one.
5. We end up with no home, and have to move the whole family in with my Mum (god bless her we aren’t the easiest family to just move in!)
5. I close down my balloon school 😭 I hated the thought of letting people down and I just couldn’t manage it all anymore.
6. I slow down taking orders and the business takes a financial hit.
7. We get a home! 🏠 after 3 months of hard work we are ready to move in!
8. Kaitlyn’s chemotherapy is taking its toll on her.
9. I close down and take no further balloon orders throughout December.
10. I give my notice to leave the premises I operate from. My huge warehouse has to be emptied and I need to go back to working from home 🥹 tough business decision that had to be made and quickly.

In a nutshell this year can absolutely stay in the past. It’s been traumatic to say the least. You don’t actually realise when you’re in it how much of an impact these events have on you.

I’m a super positive person and always look to the bright side of things, this year it’s been tough to do that.

So what’s next for APA?
We are moving into a new studio in the new year. I’m going to be there for my babies when they need me as always. Wynny is going to the most perfect school She starts in January 🤩 so excited for her.

I’m just going to keep going. That’s all I can do!

I’m an experienced artist who can tailor designs and colour pallets for you with minimal description. I rarely work on restricted colour ways and I’m trusted to provide something that matches. We use only the best so our colour ways are not limited. 🎈

💳 Payment requests are automated through to your mobile phone with a downloadable receipt. We accept all methods of payment. Credit cards are accepted too.

💜 I prepare EVERYTHING beforehand and can set up something like this in around 30 minutes, reducing your hire fee’s at your venue.

It is with a heavy heart that I’m not accepting any more bookings now for the remainder of 2024.

My family and I need some time.
With Wynny still at home with us 24/7 until January 2025.
Regular hospital admissions and appointments for Kaitlyn.
A new home.
Moving units.
I feel like it’s the right thing to do.
