Something special… 🦚🌹

Something a bit different for the sustainable salon ladies. ❤️ This wreath is made with a willow base and string so it’s 100% compostable (apart from the ribbon). I’ve used foliage that is dry or will dry well so this will keep for months. My dog Pippa had a lovely meet and greet with the salon dog Bobby so lovely all round 🎄❤️

Everlasting bouquets with Valentine’s Day in mind. For me the pastel Spring colour tones feel so hopeful .💚 There are endless combinations of flowers that could be put together, and I love the possibility that brings for creativity. Have a lovely Sunday all! 💐

I am a bit of a hopeless romantic as I’m guessing most people working with flowers are. 🌹 I will be listing a limited quantity of these flower hearts in the next few days (keep an eye on my stories to stay updated). I am not saying that to be sales-ey, I am only able to do a limited number because of the amount of time and love that goes into each one. 💞 I’m hoping to do a purple themed one and of course a burgundy themed one as well (my favourite colour). The Sun is out here and the birds are singing 🎶 I thought I’d pop on and say “hi”. I’m starting to think about Spring colours (I know it’s still January but on a day like today Spring is calling) and found this pic from last year on my photo stream. What is everyone up to today? I’m still working on an essay about learner- centred education in the refugee context and slightly procrastinating here 😬 Hope everyone is okay and looking forward to the weekend 😘

I have been feeling so overwhelmed with gratitude for all the support you guys have given me this year. Whether you’ve been an Instagram or Facebook ‘liker and commenter’, a customer or a friend with encouragement it’s made a huge difference.

When I started out a year ago, friends and family stepped in and bought my first wreaths which got me off the ground, but now it’s mostly people I don’t know personally that are keeping me in the air. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I am going on holiday now, but you can still get your hands on a wreath, bouquet or dried flower gift at and .

I will be dreaming up some new stuff for Spring (it will come!) and I’ll look forward to connecting with you all again then.

In the meantime I hope you all have a peaceful and meaningful Christmas time.

I really enjoyed making this Christmas centrepiece for the lovely Charlotte. It will last way beyond Christmas though and she can pull out the pine cones and turn it into a wreath to enjoy all year once the festivities are over 💕

My ‘Summer Morning’ wreath was the first design I ever made and got me hooked on wreath making. It’s a labour of love filling the wreath base with lavender and sea lavender but luckily I love it and never grow tired of it 💜. Here’s a lovely 8 inch ready to post to its new home 🏡!

I’ve reimagined the ‘Sugar Plum Fairy’ this year to include white strawflowers as I managed to grow so many this year. Here she is with a blue ribbon, as a centrepiece or with a purple ribbon. What do you think guys? I’m hoping she reminds you of those wonderful sparkly frosty mornings we get this time of year ❄️✨

Channelling the flower fairies this morning. I used to love the illustrations by Cicely Mary Barker as a child and still have a beautiful book my Grandma gave me for Christmas ❤️. I used to like to imagine the fairies hard at work this time of year as the seasons change from Autumn to Winter ❄️. So for me this work is the perfect place to play and get creative. I loved putting this flower crown together with the beautiful almost acid green of the hydrangeas with the bright red of the straw flowers and rose hips, some (cute as a button) poppy seed heads and fluffy ‘old man’s beard’. What opportunities do you find to reconnect with childhood and play as an adult? ~ Sophie x
