Hello! 👋

I’m still here! Been a little off grid the last few weeks as I prep for my final few weddings of the year.

Can’t quite believe it’s mid October… where has 2024 gone?

Over the next couple of weeks I’ll be getting prepped for a few autumnal themed weddings - think burnt oranges, deep caramels, dark reds and lush toffee tones. 🍂

Oh gosh it’s been a minute!

I’ve had such a busy few weeks with a big wedding followed by my daughter’s second birthday. It’s felt a bit like a whirlwind. 😮‍💨

But I’m using this week to catch up on all my admin (including my neglected Instagram account!)

There’s so much that goes on behind the scenes here at Luna Rose. My next wedding isn’t until next month but I’m already full steam ahead on the planning for it. ❤️

Pale shades have definitely been a trend with my weddings so far this year. It’s been so nice to have pops of subtle colour.

This weekend I’m at the lovely Layer Marney Tower to create a beautiful summery set up with pastel hues to complement the garden… hopefully the sun decides to make an appearance. 🌞

Top table styling. ✨

When it comes to decorating your top table, there’s lots of different options.

Repurposing your ceremony flowers is by far & away the most popular choice. 🤍

To elongate the registrar table arrangement, we can add additional garlands either side or even add simple bud vases either side.

If you have meadow flowers running down the aisle, they look absolutely stunning placed in front of the top table during your wedding breakfast.

You could even go for something really striking by adding a flower wall or broken arch behind the top table.

We’ve got through hump day. The sun has (kinda) been shining. The weekend is just round the corner - plus it’s a Bank Holiday. 🙌

As a florist, during wedding season I’m often working over the weekend. This weekend I’m prepping for a wedding at Houchins Wedding Venue with Accommodation on Bank Holiday Monday.

It’s going to be a busy Saturday & Sunday, but I don’t mind because it’s an absolute joy to creat florals for my couples big day! 🫶

Today I’m finalising my flower order, ready for delivery on Friday. ✅

Back at the stunning Braxted Park tomorrow for the wedding of V & M - my first of three weddings here this year! 🤍

I absolutely adore this venue… from the beautiful architecture of the old house, through to the gorgeous gardens, it’s simply breathtaking.

And it’s made even more pretty with the addition of gorgeous wedding florals. 🥰

It’s been a busy day prepping everything for tomorrow, so an early night is calling me. 💤

How was your bank holiday weekend?

The weather teased us with a glorious couple of days… but of course the rain didn’t hold off for long. 🌧️

The sunshine always does wonders for my mood & I can’t wait for all the outdoor ceremonies I have coming up over the next few months. Let’s hope the sun gets the memo & stays shining. ☀️ 🤞🏻

I have the privilege of working on some amazing weddings. It’s such an honour to be part of a couples special day. 🤍

This was one of my biggest & most exciting weddings to date, creating breathtaking art deco themed designs for A & J.

I had a team of 7 assisting me for the prep & on the day itself - together we created a full arch, 4x gold urns, this incredible ceremony set up, as well as table centre pieces, bouquets & buttonholes. 😍

Full of colourful seasonal blooms, it was an absolute joy to transform the local church & teepee at the bride’s parents home.

My packages don’t include my usual in-depth consultation process & personalised service, however if you know your colour scheme & you’re happy to let me take the lead, they could be a good option for your day!

My first wedding of the season is just two weeks away & I’m super excited to be surrounded by florals after a well deserved winter break. 🩷

Did you know, a lot of the planning for florists happens pretty close to the big day! As I only work with seasonal flowers, I can never guarantee 100% what flowers will be available until around a week before the big day.

There are certain flowers which are always available (roses for instance), however more unusual, seasonal blooms can be a nice surprise addition to stem counts in the days leading up to the wedding. 🌸

Some of my favourite flowers are in season this time of year. Just love a spring wedding!
