Introducing... The Social! 🕺

We're excited to be working with Not Too Tame on our Northern Soul inspired show which combines clubland, community and Wigan Casino. Starring World Northern Soul Dance Champion, Sally Molloy, The Social makes for a great night-out whilst telling the stories of Wigan's communities who will forever keep the faith. ✊

The PappyShow presents, What Do You See? at The Turnpike Gallery, Leigh.

What Do You See? is a performance weaving words, song and movement that asks us all to consider the question – when you look at someone, What Do You See?

The PappyShow have recreated What Do You See? with a cast of four local performers alongside the existing company. Believing the most diverse rooms are the richest and most likely to thrive – this work celebrates all of those identities. In a world where we have had to argue that Black Lives Matter, for disabled rights, for equal pay, against sexism, homophobia, transphobia – The PappyShow places these communities at the centre of the story and says WE SEE YOU. The PappyShow work with inclusivity, joy and bravery at the heart of their work. They work to platform marginalised voices through on-stage productions and training initiatives such as anti racism and unconscious bias training. The two nights of What Do You See? will be held at The Turnpike Gallery in Leigh, in partnership with Moving Roots.

Good morning wonderful followers!

As it has been quite a turbulent few years Stolen Thread Productions CIC has decided to diversify and rebrand as we work alongside the new Arts Council England strategy of 'Let's Create! We will still be working closely with some of our partner companies to bring you all the best in affordable theatre productions .... but the great thing is as we grew our audience last year outside of the Northwest of England - we realised it was time to spread our wings and include some of those amazing things we learned and rework our own strategy by becoming more inclusive on our work too.....

Our Executive Producer Elise Williamson has now stepped up to become the CEO of the board of Directors and is looking to rework and take everything that makes Stolen Thread amazing onto the next level. Her links are including working across the UK with companies such as The Trussell Trust (UK based), Compass Presents (Bristol Based), The Wildlife Trust (UK based), The Old Courts (Wigan based), The Way Theatre/Studio (Leigh based) and many many more partners!

Elise states 'The work we produce will fit the ever-changing times we continue to hit, as I step up to this new role! I am excited to really take the business into a whole new world including working in new ways with XR, visual arts, enhanced cinema, workshops/opportunities to support young people in the arts industry from low socio-economic backgrounds such as myself and also to embrace new productions that are inclusive of a pan-arts background expanding what live events and theatre production can do/bring to the table!'
