Happy Wednesday! I'm on my way back from a whistle-stop trip to see family and friends in London 🚝 We managed to have a day in central where we frequented as many cute coffee places as possible and caught up with friends... one we hadn't seen for 8 years! Fun fact, my Londoner husband George and I, met at uni in 2008 and I lived in London for 7 years, both working front of house at west end theatres. It was so nice to have a walk around our old haunts and see a friend from our theatre days.

I had a lovely video call with a couple on Monday and I've an in person meeting and video call on Saturday which I'm really looking forward to as well!

I wanted to take the time to reflect on what an amazing month I've had ❤️ I'm so grateful to every one of you who has supported me on this new path. Even if it's just following me on here, commenting on a post or telling a friend about me. Small businesses simply don't survive without support so I am truly grateful.

I'm entering this new month with six venues who have granted me 'Recommended Supplier' status and three upcoming meetings with couples to chat about their wedding ceremonies. I've got more venue visits booked in, a full diary and another wedding venue open day to attend so I can meet more lovely couples 🫶

No more quick, unpersonalised ceremonies. The tide is turning and couples are now venturing out for something different. As a wedding celebrant, I can marry you ANYWHERE at ANYTIME and yours will be the only ceremony I perform that day. We will meet multiple times before your big day (either in person or over video call) and I will find out all about your love story and share it with your wonderful guests. Wow I can't believe the response I've had to my new business already 🥰 I've got three couples in the diary to meet in person and over video call in the next couple of weeks. They are getting married this summer and next spring. I can't wait to talk all about their wedding ceremonies and how I can bring ultimate personalisation through writing their ceremony scripts completely from scratch.

With celebrant led ceremonies, there are no rules! That is because we are not governed by legalities as you will need to do the 'legal bit' at the registry office either before or after your wedding day. Therefore meaning we are free to create whatever you want and wherever you want!

WOW! 😍 I have had the best day at the open day! I'm actually blown over with how many amazing chats I had with some wonderful couples!

There were so many exciting wedding ceremony ideas flying around 🚁👀 with elopements and bigger weddings being discussed ❤️

Let's Talk Vows ❤️ Have you thought about whether you'd like to write your own personal vows? Have some help writing them? Or have me write traditional vows for you? It's a very personal choice and a decision that shouldn't be rushed.

I think it's really special to write your own vows to each other. They don't need to be super long. Even just three or four sentences will do! I can give you some help and pointers in the right direction so that you can create something heartfelt and beautiful to say to your partner.

I encourage a ceremony rehearsal at your venue if you can so that you can have a practice in the space and feel completely comfortable on the day. If you can't attend the venue for a rehearsal, I can have a video call with your separately. Public speaking can be scary and I can help you through that.

I had such a wonderful afternoon at yesterday catching up with the amazing wedding co coordinator there, Jodie ✨ I love this venue, they've always welcomed me with open arms, whatever project I'm working on and continue to support me to this day ❤️ It's an absolutely stunning venue with so many beautiful places to choose for your ceremony. Is a wedding celebrant the same as a registrar? 💭 Some may say they are similar but when you know about all the different ways a celebrant can make your wedding ceremony different, some may wildly disagree!

I've written a blog on my website called 'The Main Differences Between a Wedding Celebrant and a Registrar' and I think it's really worth a read when you're considering which way to go for your ceremony. Personally I'm biased and think that a celebrant led wedding ceremony is the absolutely bees knees but why not decide for yourself?
