This 18 kg of lean and boneless goat meat, curtesy of The Westrope Butchery has been marinating in my secret spices for 48 hours. Its then slow cooked all day 😋 and then rested for at least 24 hours before serving. Day 2 curry is the best !

We have stocked up the freezer Westrope! So if you fancy a mid week treat pop down and grab yourself some

Another brilliant night at the Goat boat.

We are short staffed at the moment and absolutely knackered so we are just going to do evenings untill the other chef starts very soon 😀

Also taking Sunday off to spend some time out of the kitchen and being mummy.

So tomz 4.30-5 ish ( depends on them bliming coals turning )

Due to the extreme heat tomorrow, we will be opening at 4pm. It's just way to hot on that boat with 20 windows a range oven and 5 hobs and 2 baine Marie's with 3 gel canisters under for me to function 🌞😆

So tomz we will do a bbq !!, sorry to everyone you came tonight! For some silly reason I thought it would be quiet, because it was in the day, so I didn't hot hold all the food and suddenly flocks of people all decended on us at once, which completely through me out of sync 😆

Quiet? The Goat boat? Silly me 😆 school girl error 😆

Home salting white fish for the ackee and saltfish and saltfish fritters 🐠

This will be ready in a few days once the salt has drawn out all the water 💧

If you leave it a further 2 weeks without the salt on, it becomes dry salted.

Really looking forward to Thursdays ackee and saltfish breakfast with Callaloo and peppered cabbage..might chuck in some plantain for a powerful potassium punch and dumplings 😋
