The final session of the summer series is on 10th August. The legendary Pascale Petit will read her poetry and there will be words and music from Meesh Denny beforehand. Both previous events sold out and there are only a handful of tickets left for this one, so book now to avoid missing out. It really is a wonderful way to spend a Saturday morning. Sadly I won’t be in attendance at this one I shall be travelling in Spain at the time.

Part 1 Mercury Prize 2022.
Housebound but feeling the need to draw, I decided to capture the televised Mercury Prize Award this evening. I very rarely work from videos, preferring to capture events live and in person, but sometimes needs must. Due to having to get up early for work tomorrow (I fit my freelance sketching in between an almost full-time day job) I will sketch the second lot of acts tomorrow night, watching on catch-up.

I should be sketching the amazing BCUC tonight at the brilliant Cornish Bank in Falmouth. As a solo parent working artist - sometimes lack of childcare becomes a barrier to night time gigs. Really sorry to miss this one. Sorry guys! I am certain you will rock it tonight, whilst I’m sat at home listening to the Mercury Prize.

A hark back to Spring 2019 and the sublime Penguin Cafe performing in a beautiful church in Bodmin. This was one of my entire set continual sketches. It’s a slow burner, you have to look really closely to see the brush strokes develop sometimes. Loved drawing this one.
