Details of our next event “Taking Keenan National”
Our next event will be led by Grant Keenan who is the Managing Director of Keenan Recycling ltd (KRL), the UK’s largest food waste collection company. He started the business in 2001 and now employs around 140 people based at over 16 depots from Aberdeenshire to London.
Aberdeen Entrepreneurs are delighted that Grant has agreed to speak, and he will discuss how from small beginnings Keenan Recycling have grown their business to the National business that it is today. What have been the challenges? How have they managed growth? What lessons have been learned?

Jeanette who was made an OBE in 2020 for her services to business, technology and charity - founded Aberdeen - based information technology company PCL group in 2000. The business has grown year on year and is now active in five industry sectors and in 27 countries.
In 2017 Jeanette founded her second business, Aberdeen wine bar Grape & Grain.
She also holds senior management positions in two other companies. She is Chief Executive of Blue Gentoo and a director of OMMICA, both of which are involved in developing ground breaking products and services for the energy technology sector.
Originally from Yorkshire Jeanette, a qualified systems engineer, moved to Aberdeen in 1986 and has lived and worked here ever since. A highly accomplished businesswoman and entrepreneur, she has founded two successful businesses, which operate in very different sectors.

Robbie spent 22 years previously working with Grampian Police and Police Scotland. His most recent role before joining Converged was as Cybercrime Safety Prevention and Resilience Liaison Officer where he was responsible for promoting cyber security to businesses and tackling the cybercrime threat.

In 2021, Robbie was awarded the Police Scotland Police Staff Member of the Year award for his work across Scotland.
The conflict in Ukraine has heightened the risk of malicious global cyber incidents, so this event is even more relevant to the business community.
