I'm sad not to be with all my Cellie friends tonight and tomorrow at 'the gathering' but I'm excited to have just done a final run through of my script with my final wedding couple of 2024, just 10 days to go 💜

I love crisp dry autumn days, unlike today There are some special days in October, let’s make every day count 🌸

I’ve just had a beautiful bouquet of flowers from a lovely family.
It’s an honour to work with each and every family but when you are contacted specifically by a family as their loved one picked you to support them is amazing.
Then even more amazingly I found out that the gentleman who passed away was my godfather - I never knew 😢
I’d already heard what a wonderful gent he was that made me happy that he had a good life and loving family 🌸
Thank you florist in Holton Le Clay for delivering them yourself

This morning I was at Grimsby Crematorium to lead a funeral service for a much loved family man and after I said goodbye to his family I came across another old man 🤣
This one is also very special to me, my Uncle Keith. He was the one who walked me down the aisle 25 years ago, we had a chat and I’ve promised to write his story too - when the time comes, hopefully not for quite a few years yet, he said he’d like to get to see 90 🤣💗

August is generally a busy month for weddings, I am currently writing a ceremony for Bank Holiday weekend, how exciting

August is turning out to be a busy month for funerals for me too, it’s such a sad time for their families but I hope I can bring them comfort as I write their ceremony for them, capturing their loved one’s personality and sharing so many memories

Enjoy the sunshine, make memories and share the laughter

Hello July, we are now half way through 2024 already, where has the time gone ?
It’s been a very different year for me, at home and at work, my priorities have had to shift slightly but I’m still here to support you if you’d like me to.
If you’d like me to be your funeral celebrant please get in touch or tell your funeral director and they will contact me.
If you’d like me to be able to support you at such a difficult time please let me know and I can tell you my availability so you can arrange details with your FD with that in mind (I often get a call after arrangements have been made and I may already be committed elsewhere).
I’ve enjoyed a couple of speaking engagements too this year, I love talking about funeral planning, if you belong to a group who has speakers please bear me in mind 😍

Thanks for a lovely spotlight 🌸

This is a beautiful version of the song, worth a listen 💗

This is a beautiful version of the song, worth a listen 💗

In 1988, Israel Kamakawiwo'ole called the recording studio at 3 a.m. and said he had to record a song right away. 15 minutes later, Israel arrived at the studio. The studio owner, Milan Bertosa said, "And in walks the largest human being I had seen in my life." A security guard gave the 500-pound man a large steel chair to sit on. Milan said, "Then I put up some microphones, do a quick sound check, roll tape, and the first thing he does is 'Somewhere Over the Rainbow.' He played and sang, one take, and it was over."
Today, Israel Kamakawiwo'ole's version, is the most requested one of this classic song.
