🌟we often look to the stars when we think of loved ones who are no longer physically here, these stars were made by children, all sparkly and excited.

🌟1st Christmas, 2nd Christmas, 29th Christmas we will never forget, we have the memories stored deep within our hearts, we just learn to have a different Christmas 🎄

Today I conducted a ceremony for a special lady who gave so much of her life to others, as well as raising her own family.

I hear it so often - ‘it was a good funeral, the food was amazing’
This was definitely her view and if there were salmon and cucumber sandwiches then it got the top vote.

So, today the food was truly amazing, helped by an abundance of salmon and cucumber sandwiches

FIRST CHRISTMAS IN HEAVEN

It’s my first Christmas in heaven,
I’ve been dreading it all through the year.
Knowing that you will be lonely,
lost to the joy and the cheer.

I’ve been sending sweet robins to find you,
and feathers have brought you my love.
I’ve been whispering secrets to raindrops,
hoping you’ll hear me above.

It’s my first Christmas in heaven,
it’s a wonderful place to exist…
And the only sadness that finds me,
is wishing I wasn’t so missed.

Because if you look closely, you’ll see me,
in every small thing that you do.
I’m the joy that sneaks in through the window,
when you stop to admire the view.

I’m the laughter that gasps from your sadness
when your soul frees itself from this pain.
I’m the comfort that warms through your blanket
as you wrap yourself up from the rain.

It’s my first Christmas in heaven,
and they told me that this would be tough.
All I can do, is remind you, you’re loved
and I’ll pray, every day, it’s enough.

It’s especially difficult at Christmas, I agree that making a new routine is a good idea but also sticking with tradition can also help others, what’s important is that there’s no right or wrong, it’s up to you 😊🙏

Every single month holds precious memories for so many of us but December often seems harder.

We need to hold on to those memories and keep them safe within our hearts and we also may need to build new traditions, it doesn't mean that we forget those who have left this earthly plane, it just means that we will learn to live without their physical body but their spirit will remain with us forever 🧡💝

I just wanted to share my happy feeling inside, I’ve just had a call from a local funeral directors and I’ve been requested to conduct a funeral - my name was written in her requests, how lovely 💗

Today is the first day celebrating all the funeral celebrants out there

I’m proud to be a member of and also a guest tutor with them.

I’ll raise a toast later to all of the 138 people who I have had the privilege of being a part of their parting service, it’s been an honour 💗

Due to a change in my circumstances I now mainly support family and friends with their loved one’s funerals or families who I worked with previously.

Today I had a trip down the coast and into the Lincolnshire Wolds to a beautiful house to celebrate the wedding of Natasha Dunbar& Bryan.
It was a private intimate ceremony with loved ones who were special to them, thank you for choosing me to be your celebrant today 💗

This week has been a week of extremes of emotions

💗yesterday we said goodbye to a very special Papa, I had time to sit and reflect on what was being said about one of life’s gentlemen 💗

💗today I’m heading into the Lincolnshire Wolds to celebrate with an awesome family as they share their love and promises 💗

💗Life as a celebrant is so varied and special, a role which I’m honoured to hold 💗

I’ve just had a beautiful bouquet of flowers from a lovely family.
It’s an honour to work with each and every family but when you are contacted specifically by a family as their loved one picked you to support them is amazing.
Then even more amazingly I found out that the gentleman who passed away was my godfather - I never knew 😢
I’d already heard what a wonderful gent he was that made me happy that he had a good life and loving family 🌸

This morning I was at Grimsby Crematorium to lead a funeral service for a much loved family man and after I said goodbye to his family I came across another old man 🤣
This one is also very special to me, my Uncle Keith. He was the one who walked me down the aisle 25 years ago, we had a chat and I’ve promised to write his story too - when the time comes, hopefully not for quite a few years yet, he said he’d like to get to see 90 🤣💗

August is generally a busy month for weddings, I am currently writing a ceremony for Bank Holiday weekend, how exciting

August is turning out to be a busy month for funerals for me too, it’s such a sad time for their families but I hope I can bring them comfort as I write their ceremony for them, capturing their loved one’s personality and sharing so many memories
